I am indeed, should be in a couple of weeks time for the whole weekend. I'll do a review with photos afterwards and post it up. I've had both the 200 EDC and 220 Trophy so I'm keen to feel the difference.
Had an email today from the sales manager at my local Renault dealer, after speaking to him at the unveil and a couple more times since.... He's asked if I'm interested in taking an RS Line out for 48hrs to give them some feedback on how it is, would be rude not to😁😊
I was around owning GT Turbos when you could pick up a half decent one for less than a grand, now they're fetching anything and over 10K. Like the classic minis, everybody hated the clubman square shape but once they'd rinsed out the round front models all of a sudden it became the next big...
Seriously toying with buying an Exclusive 172, I think I'm right in saying it's a bit marmite. The BBS wheels and the cream leather interior seems to provoke a vomit in the mouth reaction for which I actually like. The one in mind needs TLC, I'm seeing this as a long burner project to have it...
Indeed, was built, mapped and driven well over a year without any problems. Untouched stock bottom end and gearbox, it was a FSH Clio but replaced everything while the engine was out. So new clutch and release bearing, cambelt, waterpump, Meg 225 keyway pulley, obvs new belt for the charger...
Did the supercharger conversion in a Petrol Blue 182, was a second hand K Tec kit mapped having an Adaptronic ECU installed by Chris at EFI.... 266hp and 220ft/lbs torque. That's the basics but the full project thread is here, people tend to forget mine as I'm not really prolific on here...
After reading that back about the gearbox what I meant was it was great to use, made better by having the 220 software installed on my old 200 EDC. The 220 paddles are better too, less throw on the click when gear changing.
I'd happily admit the gearbox in the 200 wasn't the greatest but a massive step forward. The Mk4 was a big step in tech coupled with a great chassis, the gearbox takes weeks getting used to not a quick 10 minute blast up and down the road with a salesman on a test drive. They revised the...
They offer a 1.3 160 TCE in the Scenic and Kadjar already, which thinking about it now why it didn't make its way into the Clio RS Line.... There's rumours of 180hp, amongst loads of other rumours of will there won't there be another outright RS model... We will see.
Yep, it's to cover all bases, can be adjusted for either track racing, rallycross and rally stages so it keeps the costs down for race teams and rally teams. The Clio Cup series has moved to the undercard in the GT racing series
