Thank you! You're the third person to say that! To be fair who knows how long, it could be a summer or I'll stupidly become attached to it and smoke it about for a couple of years
It's the adventure along the way working on it and hopefully take it to a few places.
Well, what a day! V day!
As mentioned the van was located in Gloucester so I'd pre booked a one way train ticket during the week for £38 from Southend. 7:02am to be precise, 9:07am from Paddington to Gloucester although a rail replacement between Reading and Swindon slowed the journey down a...
Obviously not taking away the effort gone into these, there will be a call for them for many a 2118 owner to cover the unsightly hub nuts at the front. To me Motorsport is about minimal, weight saving, and taking away the unnecessary, so the diamonds are fighting against that.
Just my opinion, I like the white caps but think the silver diamonds clash with the wheels. Looking at the close up of the 2118, studs and nuts all Motorsport it just seems a bit out of place and a bit much.... But that's just me, appreciate the effort in going about making them.
I spoke to SKY who insure the Mégane 280 and they gave me a quote, after speaking to good friend @Brigsy he recommended Greenlight as that's where he had his converted Kangoo insured with. They came in much cheaper at £339 with everything declared so it's now insured for the year. Last night I...
Thanks for the kind comments so far.
It's always been at the back of my kind to have one of these, I missed out on a yellow converted Primastar a couple of years back and thought it looked pretty cool. The whole idea of having a work van with a Clio lump dropped in just appealed to me, over a...
Like any true petrolhead we all need something to tinker with, we constantly browse eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Autotrader and such other buy and selling groups at random cars we shouldn't really buy but strangely warm to. It's fair to say I've owned a fair share of Clios that have been projects...
The only reason I did mine initially was the kit came in 'cheap' second hand with a couple of bits missing. Admittedly I spent a few quid along the way to change sub standard parts, new service parts to keep reliability at its best, and then went standalone Adaptronic.
It ended up on a stock...
Appreciate the kind words, yes it was indeed RS Tunings old supercharged demo car. I think I have some photos of it complete knocking about somewhere.
Both Clio's were amazing in their own ways. I'm glad the supercharger kit came up for sale, even though the PB was a rare car i didn't think...
Thank you! Even after a year like the phase 1 Clio I can't think of a reason to chop it in, subtle changes have given it soo much more on road presence. It's a great second car.
I'd already bought the PBs replacement, the other end of the spectrum. A diesel, comfortable, not gonna set the world on fire, capable of 60mpg! With that in August 2015 I did a 3000 mile road trip around Europe in 11 days, it was quite frankly the perfect car to do it. I wanted away from the...
As the title suggests although I've owned Renaults on and off for over 17 years it's been around a decade I've been actually owned Renaultsport affiliated cars. Nowadays i'll frequent the Cliosport forums in the background but in the last 10 years it has introduced me to a whole... handful of...
