My Kangoo used to chuck the pas fluid out of the reservior when on max, dropped it to minimum mark and not had any issues since. If the pas pump is whining might need changing soon, mine done this on teesside and promptly died after a few laps of the track.
I think the seal will be OK if its fully home. Its a bit of a b*****d to get in square tbh. I noticed the top of the vvt sensor is quite loose on mine so might even be coming out of there. If its very minor would not worry about it, can chase stuff like this forever sometimes.
Might just be oil that was on the sensor, drive it and keep an eye on it. The vvt sensor on mine has a groove worn into it where the seal sits so not that good a fit on the new seal. Doesnt seem to be leaking now though.
Good question mate, i just went through until one fitted tight out of a selection from an o ring kit i have. It was a bit loose on map sensor initially but nipped up tight when map sensor is fitted. s**t design ot be fair, i see some aftermarked map sensors have a rubber sleeve on instead of the...
Take rubber out of old bracket and refit in new one, cable tie to secure job done. I went ultra pikey and fitted a universal polyehxaust hanger inside my dci exhaust bracket. 20k later still solid
I run the same pressures, Fine for road use.
I use 15" ps3 on my dci..they really shine in the s**t conditions, grip feels great. The mrs meg250 has Ps4s on and they are seriously confidence inspiring in the wet. I dont think i would use another brand of tyre for all weather road use tbh.
Got a couple of jobs done last Sat
First up was vvt sensor seal, noticed this leaking before Croft. 15 min job dead easy, changed map sensor o rings as had gone very flat/loose
Next up was gear oil, drained into a container then filtered to see if any contamination/swarf after fitting the...
To pull any good 60ft on the strip drag radials are a must and then they put massive wear on the drivetrain, i used to knacker an outer cv every 15/20 runs.
Back in the day 20”x8 M&H. 1.7 sec 60ft & 12.67 @ 106 ish from memory. Ran it on road tyres a handful of times late 13s/low 14s?
Yes mate i have clip. Central locking should fire up straight away wonder if uch is damaged ? I had one that said boot was always open..i think somebody had swapped immobiliser chip to a mis matched uch.
It will fire up and run if you fit the Uch/Ecu pack and matched key from the breaker. You will need to reprogram the uch with clip if any unwanted lights appear on the dash. I imagine the asr warning light will be on and the serv light.
The ecu in front of the handbrake is for airbags. Keep...
First one probably didnt have ported head not many people spend the dollar getting it done.
Get a health check done on current one, compression test and serviced/belts changed if not done. If belts have been done and depending whos fitted the bits might need the timing checked - as when out it...
Coming together nice now, engine bay finished apart from custom catch tank which is on order. Up and running but not without a fight, fuel had gone off badly. Wiring next !
Belt it on the underside so the balljoint goes up a little and frees off the rust, bit of plus gas penetrating oil, old flat ended screwdriver to open the slot up a little then belt it out. 5 mins job done
I bet its quite hard to correct oversteer without any pas. Does your epas feel a bit numb ? My dci has a dead spot. Ill prob go epas on mine for ease, would really like to do a hybrid hpas with electric pump as the oem hpas feels great to me.
