Small update on the Extra - wired in the lc-1 to the ecu on Sunday and refitted the dash cowlings. Give the interior a decent clean, first time in years, still in decent nick.
Just waiting for my engine stand to be returned then i can get the new engine stripped. Might even make CS Festival...
As far as im aware you can only program a virgin uch with clip to suit another ecu/immobiliser. I guess if you had key to suit uch you could get somewhere to reset the ecu immobiliser, but still most likely cheaper to buy a working full set.
The ecu, key and uch are matched so wont work unless you swap immobiliser chip from old uch. Get the old one repaired or buy a full set to suit the correct engine.

I had exactly the same issue for months, misfire like feck from cold and misfire on and off when driving. Turned out to be an injector same as yours as it died one day and ran on 3 cylinders. Id bet it is an injector on its way.
From when i stripped the intercooler off the scrap late model dci i believe it had a vnt turbo, so probably same as dci 100. Injectors and pump had gone sadly so no idea about them.
A bit of fault finding today, found a loose connection on the earth wire for the crank sensor, fixed that and fitted a new genuine ford zetec sensor. I had a feeling it was ign related the other day, it revs great now although a little bit lean. Not messing about with map yet, will change fuel...
Will be fine running next to tunnel. Use ptfe/teflon for the fuel hoses or it will stink & the prices of the fittings are eye watering if you need a few.
