So, I get these kits are cheap, but how good are they? Are they better than stock suspension, and better than what I was thinking of which is stock shocks and Sportline springs? Specifically for track use? At £189 they cost about the same as a set of Sportlines and a set of camber bolts.

Recommended Renault service interval: 36,000 miles - change Turbo :) Matthew has the right idea though, there are some big positives to a turbo engine.

The positives for the T1-Rs are (were) there price. Clearly more expensive tyres are better, but thats why they are more expensive. In terms of 195/50/15 they were uber cheap. No news on them being replaced, the PX4's are listed alongside them on the Toyo website. It looks like its just a case...
