Im not after lows, I'm after front camber and stiffer springs.
So considering these are roughly the same price, what would people recommend for casual track day use: Standard shocks, Eibach Sportlines and camber bolts, or Raceland coilovers. Comparisons ONLY between those too. I know these are...
So, I get these kits are cheap, but how good are they? Are they better than stock suspension, and better than what I was thinking of which is stock shocks and Sportline springs? Specifically for track use?
At £189 they cost about the same as a set of Sportlines and a set of camber bolts.
?
Have you played F1 2010?
Short weekend is P1, Q1, Race
Long Weekend is P1, P2, P3, Q1, Q2, Q3, Race
Race can be anything from 20% to 100%.
And you can save between each session.
:)
Thanks Lee! Pre ordered and ready to go. Will you be making an appearance as a member of any pit crews this year?
And did I spy a safety car in that TV ad. Dangerous to put that in there if its not in the game... you know how angry teenage fanboys can get :)
Looks like it was just stock issues, as T1Rs are back in stock at the usual ~£35 price (195/50/15).
Anyone else find they go blue on the edges when they get hot? :)
Um, no?
I spent ages trial fitting it, then removed it. Then went to the track day, spent ages refitting it, and then as its not an issue with Mr Plod as it doesn't protrude like the stock ones, I've left it.
The thread in the hole is rusted so its a bugger to get in/out regardless.
I fitted...
I bought one of these off cliosport_ph2 for my Bedford trackday. After 30 minutes with WD40, a breaker bar and bucket load of sweat I finally managed to clear enough of the 9 years of crap inside the hole for the tow eye to get it in. As these don't protrude out of the bodywork I can now leave...
AHAHAHAHAHAH!
This is epic! Just had 2 of my mates completely confused for 10 minutes as they were getting texts from each other, and then from themselves!
This is MASSIVELY dodgy though! Cant see the site staying for long...
Yeah, but if Renault have any sence they will release 'special' versions for £3000 more with a 30bhp remap and some exclusive wheels.
For reference: See VW Golfs :)
Recommended Renault service interval: 36,000 miles - change Turbo
:)
Matthew has the right idea though, there are some big positives to a turbo engine.
Gone will be the days of spending £2000 to gain an extra 5bhp. I mean look at the Corsa VXR, there is a company already tuning there 1.6 turbos to 250bhp, aproved by Vauxhall too.
I do worry about the gearbox though... a flappy paddle sounds expensive, heavy, prone to breaking and a bit to...
And to think, people rubbished my suggestion when I posted this thread!
I read that Evo article too this morning. It all makes sence really. The only concerning thisn is the mention that it wont have much more power than the current RS Clio. I hope they get over 200. If its only a small...
The positives for the T1-Rs are (were) there price. Clearly more expensive tyres are better, but thats why they are more expensive.
In terms of 195/50/15 they were uber cheap.
No news on them being replaced, the PX4's are listed alongside them on the Toyo website. It looks like its just a case...
Re: Help!problems with my Clio :( Foglight when breaking+ Clicking from fusebox and o
Fog light is an issue I had. Took the drivers side rear cluster off, cleaned all the connectors, plugged it back together and it worked fine.... for about a month. Just ignore it now and put it down to dodgy...
Some great shots there.
Totally agree about the layout. All good improvements except the last corner. Don't quite understand what the thinking behind that was?
