My new racecar project (Icemans old shell)

That will rustle a few feathers in the Nippons. Was that your plan Russ, or racing in the 750 Civic series?

Yes that does help. Also dont forget the medical. When you buy your goracing pack it will come with a double folded A4 serial numbered (to you) form that you must fill out, you hand it to your doc and to the ards examiner, once filled out you then can send off for license (with license fee £65).

Received a message today from Sean from Ktec that they have tested and confirmed that the ECU was at fault, it was actually a fault with the firmware caused by the short circuit. Sean re-uploaded the software and tried it on a base map with a test car and worked fine and then reloaded my...

Latest update, week of dramas....Rolled the car out the garage last week to give her a spanner check ahead of the Rockingham meeting, to find that the alternator had finally given up. Purchased a brand new alternator from Renault (£140 PX) so fitted that and did a check, all seemed to be going...

Any potential issues running 215 width tyres?

if you really want to go wider then I recommend 205/50/15, depending how low you are will cause rubbing, if your at a certain height it may be fine. if you can borrow a set then all the better.

Just want to update this incase anyone gets the wrong idea, the wire tow ruling as above is only "strongly recommended" so wont be in force for 2017, however watch this space for the near future.

Any potential issues running 215 width tyres?

should imagine lots of arch cutting to the front wing and rears rolled, and also may contact the spring due to camber, so if you move the wheels in or out they will catch either way unless you make serious modifications, but it shouldn't be out of reach. In terms of experience, I have only used...

    Track / Race 172

I run a FIA tow eye bolted through the original screw hole that has a back plate and nut to stop it pulling through. New MSA rules for 2017 will require wire toe hooks to be fitted x2 on front x2 on rear (if I had read the draft correctly) So, as long as the part is strong enough, maybe bolt...

Have you trimmed the metal from the body at the rear near where the rear springs sits? I had this problem when i fitted slightly thicker spring coils.

Well technically its the discs your bedding in, main reason why you should match discs to pad compounds unless you skim the disc of the old pad compound. I know ppl who have wet weather discs and pads for instance.
