I keep waiting for it to loosen up and get better but for me and everyone whos tried it its just a touch awkward, missed a few gears this weekend too. the positioning of it is great though.

Cool pic Colin, nice to final meet you. Hopefully that pic will be a sign of things to come for next year with a good number of cars including clios competing in the french trophy.

Yeah thats it, the unit is bolted to the shell and takes a feed from the battery negative, problem is though its a 'solid state' unit so has no moving parts and is all electronic. I'm thing you'd be better off with something like an armtech unit or similar which are effectively a heavy duty...
Thing is the cartek one works by killing the earth as well chris as obviously if you have no earth you dont have a circuit for anything. Great if it actualy works!

No idea mark but james did warn me before hand about them, i reasoned that most failures would have been incorrect wiring or something and i'd be fine! It wasnt disconnecting like it should and engine was running on, then started flashing overcurrent and overtemp warnings with nothing connected...
For those that werent at outlon i had a pretty shocking weekend, car took longer to be corner weighed and geo'd on friday so i missed testing meaning quali was the first time i'd driven the car in this setup. A red flag meant 2 warm up laps then stop, 2 more laps to get the tyres dialled in and...
That Saxo was a flying machine but I'm guessing a lot of money and development has gone into it, but to be honest it wants to be quick really as the engine in it will have cost at least 50% of my total car build + I'm pretty sure Ian's clio last weekend in Danny's hands was still doing better...
Nice to speak to some of you guys today, most of the time i didnt know who i was speaking to but everyone was very complimentary about the car which i really appreciate. Glad you enjoyed the racing i had fun, bit lonely in the 2nd race after the start but was eventful as my brake pedal was...
Cheers guys just watching the vids now. 2nd and 3rd overall with a class win and fastest lap in race 2 so prett pleased with its first outing. There's still time in it yet. Nice to see you all old and new faces.

Looking good mate, be good to see all the new (and older) builds out there this weekend and have a good poke around them. I'm all packed up ready, car will be loaded in the morning and straight to be corner weighted and geo'd so I'll be there after lunch and I'll try to get some testing done...
Yeah its in my spares box just in case James. Has anyone done away with the hose that originally goes to the matrix and just blanked the outlet off on the stat housing and blanked the hose that comes off the T piece in the bottom hose instead of just putting a 180 degree hose on them to close...
I wanted 15 as thats what i used to run in LMA's and funnily enough Mark ran this car as number 15 too, you can have 82 (the year i was born) for next year if i get 15 back!

Thanks for the help guys especially James and Tony, really appreciate that, i was a bit p1ssed off on friday. Its more the fact i hate rushing and leaving stuff until the last minute and thats exactly whats happened through events beyond my control, it should have been sorted weeks ago and i...
Thanks James appreciate that, I'm at oulton all day tomorrow pit'ing for a mate in tin tops so I'll take stock and see where I'm at. It just feels horrible to drive on turn in. I run the polo rad and its brand new, tbh it never went over 103 or so even when driving hard so I know what you mean +...
So testing! I guess its called testing for a reason, nothing fell off but I have issues. No.1 and most importantly is it gets too hot too quickly, bit worried about the removal of the heater matrix and the fact its just been replaced with a 180degree bend. Water temp gets up to 100degrees and...
At least mine is white if tony is 'rubbing'!
Yeah kept vvt James but from what I know now its pretty pointless as its always advanced above 1500rpm or something? Might as well gone vvt delete with proper verniers to time the cams up.

Cat 421's and bodies the same as everyone else lol. It made...........somewhere between 200 and 300 at the fly, hope that helps James!

Its mapped. Just got to pick it up in the morning and go straight to oulton for some testing. Made excellent numbers for the spec IMO but they are just numbers after all so the proof will be in the driving. Looking forward to it now.
