The bearings will need pressing in, which isn't easy unless you've got a press. Other than that, it's pretty easy.

Doesn't sound good. First thing to check is gearbox oil level and dogbone mount for excess wear. If both of those are ok, new synchros/box needed

Leave the engine in the bay. Support it with a jack and wood while the box comes out of the passenger side wheel arch. Easy. Ish.
