Where you at matey? I live about a 10-15 minute dirve away from k-tech they are ussualy pretty good at sorting things from what I'v heard anyway so youl be okay.
Ill snap your bolt in a minute!
Good point though lol. I suppose you do need to use a little bit if common sense here
edit: really? out of my two engines the first one was fine the second leaked out of two of the cam cover bolts. unles it was removed at one point in its life.
mine was leaking through a couple of them i nipped them up no bother and they stopped leaking. But Like you say you do have to be careful but a quarter turn isnt going to cause a problem
You probably know as you didnt ask but its located next to the AV in the NS arch (well behind it) its quite prone to getting wet so that may be it. Check fuse first though!
I'd trust this a lot more, other graph is a little too optimistic methinks.

So when they put the reg into the computer it doesnt show that the vehicle was previously written off?
Hmm.. I have a mate that works at LV I will ask him :)
The lambda sensor will have a hex connection at the end of it just unbolt it. It's gunna be a barsted to remove though the fact the exhaust contracts/expands seems to really hold them in snugly + they rust themselves in sometimes too as above
You wanna make sure that the manifolds not to rusty. As you can start unbolting it and inadvertidly remove a small piece of the manifold too! Then your boned
Well it happened on an old 106 probably fine on a newish clio :approve:
Trying to think what size it is but I cant remember, sorry...
Not going to be thousands for a new engine plus fitting. My 182 with failed rings cost this much
Engine £250
Fitting £250
Other bits and bobs £75 quid tops
Made about 200 quid back on the old engine too.
Agree its a s**t attitude to have though.
