You wont need to do anything with a pressure bleeder, pressure on, loosen then nip up. Air wont be able to seep in. A little bit of grease will be good to stop the nipple seizing in place.
Chasing the misfire
So not had much joy curing this minor misfire. No codes stored on ecu and live data checks out ok.
List of things done
Coilpack, leads and plugs changed still the same
Cam timing bang on - done it before with cam timing slightly out
Lambdas swapped - both seem to check...
Notmal, lever the track control arm down with a bar. Might be worth slackening wishbone to subframe bolts, get wheels on and drop on the floor/retorque the bolts.
I had this issue when doing mine with genuine tools. The pulley lock cog kept moving slightly when torquing the pulleys up. You need the nut on the tool/cog mega tight, i recall doing it up to 140nm and did not have an issue after that.
Sadly a few places will just powdercoat with any defects present, not bothered if they are receiving your dollar. I heard a tale where a set of astra vxr alloys were in the acid too long and went pourous not good
Most powdercoaters usually acid strip and shotblast. That will give you an idea of whats what usually before they coat. Ive had loads of sets of wheels done without issues, some in horrendous condition before refurb, it sounds like you were unlucky to be fair. The only wheels i would probably...
Check the crank pulley is not self destructing, The rubber in mine was shot. Also had the same issue when the pas pump was knackered, check all the rotating parts
Looks awesome always like the clio gen 1 cup cars. Just noticed the u clamps on the rear torsion bars and jubilee clips next to bushes on front what are they for ? Stop any possible side movement ?
A mate of mine has just bought a ph2 clio 172 ff cheap off ebay. Its stripped out, 2x buckets, not bad nick engine runs sweet, receipts for recent belts/dephaser, would clean up nice with a little bit of work. 138k on clock so its been about, any previous owners on here ? its got evidence of...
Rear suspension
The rear shocks have been on the list for replacement for a while, due to them being original and circa 180k and quite soft. When i rebuilt the rear beam i noticed how similar they looked to to gtt/clio1 16v rear shocks. Bought a new pair of clio1 16v gaz rear adjustable...
Mine was doing the same recently misfire from cold for a couple of miles. Everything checked out ok on live data - swapped downstream & post cat lambda and runs fine again better idle etc. Still have an occasional hesitation when pulling away i think an injector is on its way out.
Factory xenons up front, i think they were something daft like £800 ontop. Its lux pack so decent spec, climate, pack p, xenons & keyless. The only option it did not have was panoramic roof thank god.
Pic of it in the bodyshop recently, had a minor off at the nurburgring in it last year so...
Mrs has treated herself to a meg 250cup too so its acquired a friend on the drive. Next weekends job is to swap pre/post cat lambdas around to see if i can cure a misfire from cold/1500rpm stutter.
After a long winter and a fresh set of white wheels it highlighted the paint needed a bit of tlc on the Kangoo. First good day on a weekend so decided to crack on.
The paint had gone very oxidised on the roof/sides as it had not been very well cared for in the past. The paint was also very...
Oem Renault part number 7700754338. I believe they are from a base spec clio. Ordered mine from RPD https://www.renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/parts/renault-clio-range/hub-cap-clio-phase-2-7700754338/
