Heres another suggestion, when you do brands let me know, & i could perhaps come along (might even do the day in my car) and tell you what your handling issue is.
Alternatively simply get one of the northern lot to drive your car & give some feedback :)
As ive said 5 million times, id start with some tuition tbh. Without wishing to cause offence, your braking/understeer issues are clearly driver related. A poor workmen always blames his tools ;)
Although admitedly using RAINsports as a dry weather trackday tyre is slightly odd.
Ah right, there you go then I suppose. At that sort of speed I see 40 out of the trophy quite easily.
I think as soon as the 197 gets up to 75-85 the mpg drops like a stone.
He's got quite a few user accounts on eBay. Buys with one, sells with another (probably with feedback set to 'private').
I get the impression he also buys smashed up cars from Bluepoint, then sticks them back together with gaffa tape, bluetac & cheap bits from CS. Obviously makes decent money...
64GB storage on iPad
Maybe 10GB of music on the pc lol. Im new to all this :o
What do you suggest Dan, get the Apple TV thingymamob? Where would all my music be accessed from then? Could it go in this cloud thing, or is that just for storage of photos, etc. Or would all my music still be better...
I want to get rid of the computer - which we currently only really use to watch movies from Blinkbox/BBC iplayer, then it also holds my music collection, so we access that via the TV screen/wireless keyboard/mouse instead of using a pc monitor.
Music is now on the iPad, and we can also use it...
As above really, Sarah bought me the new one for my 30th and considering ive only just worked out how to put music on my iPod via iTunes, i need a little advice.
Ive got a 50" lcd TV with all the modern connections, Sony home cinema (5 speakers & sub), then Kef speakers running through a...
Ade - without wishing to sound boring, id remove the pictures of where you viewed the track.
Other people may have used the same spot and may/may not wish to visit said location again next year
FYI - the unofficial rule with Black Ops is that you only post night pictures, so its not quite so...
You'd be amazed at how many are out there tbh. Takes about 20 mins in a clio lol, just swop instrument clusters!!
This car is lovely btw, & Steve is a very fastiduous owner - the car gets everything it needs.
Great buy imho.
You'd be amazed at how wrong you are :) i cant be bothered to write a massive essay, but day to day, without any major breakages, an M3, bar insurance is not really any more to run imho.
Hence why i sold the 197 after 5 minutes, it simply didnt warrant the cost.
I'm doin it over the weekend. Got 5 million stupid pictures to sift through.
We'll let the Northeners have their week in the limelight, then the big boys will show 'em how its done ;)
Note: Staying till the end of the race normally helps.
I do about 25-30k a year, so know quite a big about mpg, worked out properly, not via the trip computer ;)
182 Trophy: 36mpg
197 Cup: 29mpg
Thats exactly the same daily commute.
4th gear synchro goes.
Mpg is pap.
Lots of suspension parts are 197 specific (re: expensive), unlike the 1*2 which is a 1.2 with a big engine.
Other than that, i cant see why (with proper maintenance) it wouldnt go to silly mileage.
As has already been said, Paisley are just the booking agent, not the actual courier, so exactly the same type of company as Parcel2Go, Payperparcel, etc.
Took me 7 months to get a £220 refund out of Payperparcel (who had used DHL), so if you have issues, they will be nigh on the same for each...
lol. I had mine for 3 weeks.
Slower than the Trophy, but worse mpg than the M3.
Once moving, above 5k rpm it was brilliant, great gearbox, nice(ish) steering, strong brakes, but as a package, i just dont think it warranted the truly sh1t fuel consumption. Recaros were good though, shame they...
Will write it tonight, then upload tomorrow morning. Still half asleep tbh.
Looks like you had a good trip lads, shame you didnt make it over to our though :(
Ben - how the f*ck did you spend £600 lol - eating caviar on your beef burgers?
