Oh the irony. After saying about how amazing the Sachs are, mine are fubar'd lol.
Perhaps thats why the ride has been so good as of late :o i can essentially bounce the car using my hands on the front headlights!! So it would appear that they are rather goosed. Refurb costs from BG are...
Glad you enjoyed the 1st race!! Again, shame about the incident though :dapprove:
I briefly mentioned to Sam that i might have a Monaco door that you can have for nowt, so i'll try & get a picture of it later on for you if you like? Cant remember whether its also got damage though lol.
Well no, not exactly 'grass roots' ... think Tony was about half a lap ahead of them at one point, then in the space of a few laps they were passed & chased after the Rover in the lead. Quite obscene really.
Was also very impressed with the silver Proton (apart from when it gave Tony a 'love...
Great result guys!!! Despite the freezing cold & rain we both enjoyed the days racing ... Sarah also enjoyed the V10 R8 Spyder that was parked nearby. I need to earn more money apparently :dapprove: Although id only spent it going racing anyways.
lol @ the DC5 as well. It crashed, went in the...
Could a decent beater not save that panel though gally? I know the other Basingstoke Trophy had some quite bad rear quarter damage removed like that ...
Argh no!! Are you the Trophy that drives in & out of QMC quite often?
Re: the car, utter nightmare! Hopefully the bodyshop will repair it. Although if the worst happens & is written off, i have a monaco passenger door & side skirt that you have for nothing in order to help the rebuild process...
I've run them on the Trophy for dry/wet road & track and think they are perfectly fine. For £36 a corner, they are also an utter bargain.
Very predictable and the wear was fine, even with silly camber. Although tbh, for the price, i didnt really care, just buy some more.
A PE2 is certainly not...
Lol, did you see the thread where i said matey had ruined his R27 by slammin in da floor wiv coiloverz? For a moment, i thought i was going to be permabanned !!!
Think ill stick to CS.
That one has been for sale for months.
Get on 197.net if you want 2nd hand, although do bear in mind the forum is quite slow/quiet/intolerant of banter.
Re: Sir_Dave's Trophy. The 182 on (nearly) 182k ...
Well, i quite fancy an RS2 at some point (better resale value you see), also, slightly concerned that if i pull the engine apart, it will disintegrate :o However, if i do built another engine, it will have BTM cams & ITBs, got years to do...
The one you have linked to is proper poverty spec!!
Sold it last week. That was a '57 plate Nimbus 197 Cup with Recaros & 33k, full SH & a recent gearbox from Renault. I sold it for £6.4k and that was absolutely mint!! Bought from Steve at R Sport Cars above in fact.
If you are buying a 197...
That looks great!!
But i cant help but think its because the back half of the car has been chopped off ... sneaky forum user.
Also, the LCR/ICR/poor persons VW wheels look naff. RS6 ones look much nicer, almost OEM.
Re: Sir_Dave's Trophy. The 182 on (nearly) 182k ...
lol, i dont even post pictures of it on there anymore - dont want to give people nightmares!!
Might do a picture thread once 'trackcar version2' is complete though. It has looked pretty awesome over the years though
Re: Sir_Dave's Trophy. The 182 on (nearly) 182k ...
Cheers guys, if there's one thing that actually stays constant car wise with me its this old thing!!
Currently working out the best way of spending money on it, forgot how many s3xy things are available these days :o
Well Ollie seems to...
