Thanks Andy, I'm not far from RS and its not great on side roads. Id have been unable to attend if it was going ahead as my cars stuck over in seacroft at a body shop and they advised me not to bother as its bad up there.
Speaking to Elephant the other day the bloke on the phone said they don't even investigate the personal injury claims and offer up to £1500 for any claim received. Dont even ask for any evidence.
The culture of claiming personal injury is f*cked.
A vote of confidence. This is good news, I will try it then. Unless someone comes back with a definite no, looks like the Clio will be going to Flanders!
The car we were going to use for Belgium has given up the ghost (RIP Renualt Scenic) so the 182 is hopefully going to step into the breach. Question is.... has any one successfully got 3 bikes on the roof of a clio 2. I'm going to be using OEM roof bars and Thule bike carriers.
Thanks in...
Mine does this. If you have someone with you, get them to pull the release while you pull up on the bonnet it should open. If your on your own tie a bit of string/shoe lace and attach to lever, run it out of the door pull on it while you open the bonnet. Worked for me.
Also could do with some recommendations as I need some work doing on the roof of mine.
Branch Auto Bodies (in Kirkstall) got a vote of confidence from Paul at RS Tuning. I'm off up on Monday to see if they can do a quote for me. Want me to inquire about cost of the bumper for you?
Thanks Chip, I'll have to think on, only problem is i'd have to buy the bloody things + tyres and fit it and then i'd find out theres a problem!!! I've PM'd BlackGold off of here as he has owned some 2110's on a cup and might have experience of them on 182's. Cheers for your help.
Where would you say it'd cause problems? Would it be the position of the wheel in relation to the archliner or the body work? I'm guessing it might rub somehow but looking at it I'm not sure where.
What contributes to offset of ET38.5 on the 172 cups then chip? Reason I ask is trying to get some 2110's for my 182 but they only come in ET35 which I think will cause problems with scrubbing. I thought (guessed) if you swapped the hubs this might help, or is more complicated?
Hi thanks for the reply, not sure that's correct as the offsets between 182/172 and cup / cup packed variants were different and it doesn't take that into account. The standard for a non cup packed 182 was ET45.
Has anyone ran ET35's in 16'' on a non cup packed 182?
Im looking at some new wheels from my non cup packed 182 which is currently on sportlines, would the following wheel fit ok, or might it scrub? info from manufacturer: 7x16 ET35 4x100
cheers Nick
