Received the new brake fluid a while back. It will hopefully last me longer than previous fluids. I keep boiling it.
Ordered a brake cooling kit from eBay. The price was a bit high but it's a nice bit of kit. Includes everything you need and has good fitment. Only need to fabricate some sort...
Might not be to everyones taste but I don't normally run these stickers anyway :tongueout: It was for an event I did this year. It's called the RevRun for anyone interested. Some people from the UK also joined.
I do miss driving this thing on the Ring :/
(not sure if already posted once lol)
Yep, removing the spacers helps a little bit. Don't throw them away though because when you go full racecar and get some frames and seats you will need them. Otherwise the seats will not be level.
To be honest, I like "stealth" way more. That Orbisoud silencer was way too loud so got rid of it and got a k-tec stealth with mid silencer instead.
Recessed on a phase 1 doesn't look great imho. Looks fantastic on a phase 2. Also fixes the stupid drone.
Plug and play as in you can just bolt them up without any brakets? What did these calipers come off of? Never seen these...
Is there a big difference? What pads do they take?
Not sure, bad rebuild, lack of mechanical sympathy from my end or just bad luck.
The company who performed the rebuild only rebuilt mine because of the issues I had with their JC5-129 box. They had a JC5-129 for sale which I bought since they had rebuilt that one. I traded in mine (JC5-089) as...
Ordered 2 litres of this! Thanks :)
I've never thought brake fluid would turn to shite this quick during trackday, as it's quite new. Probably down to those CL RC6 pads creating a lot of heat. Will look into brake cooling asap...
Forgot to mention that I did a "trackday" at Assen recently. @scullyg40 was there too, which was fun. It would've been the day we started the work on the engine but as stated previously things kinda got moved around so I decided to grab my last trackday of the year.
Can't say I am too happy...
I've been slowly gathering a few parts, these came in recently.
CUP wishbones with PowerFlex BLACK series bushings from a member on here. They will need some love though. Interested to see what the added castor does for me.
And some other various parts:
Aux belt kit (New from a member of...
Received some new parts these past few days. Will post more on this later.
Had a look at an engine for sale with 80.000 KM. This one turned out to have some valve damage in the cylinders. Real shame.
Sadly, there has been an unexpected setback. The guy I was planning to do the rebuild with has...
Congratz on the new Peugeot/Citroën! (jk mate)
Great updates once again. I'll see you this saturday at Assen! Unless the weather is turning to shite, then I might just stay home. IF I am there, I'm taking it easy because of issues with the gearbox :/
Your tyres look like that because of the...
I would go for semi's all round mate. I used them daily without problems. Some populair choices: Nankang NS2r, Federal 595 rsr, toyo r888(r), toyo r1r, nankang ar1 (not really recommended for daily use imho), yokohama ad08r.
R1R's are cheap and pretty good in the rain too.
He has made a mistake. It is indeed a 182 valve cover (the one that belongs to the head). Pics do confirm this... Pfew...
Only thing is, since I have a ph1 plenum, do I need to get a 182 intake plenum? Or will the phase 1 plenum seal on the 182 valve cover since the phase 1 plenum has a hole...
So I've found someone selling a very low mileage bottom end and a 182 head. To overcome the problem of using a 182 plenum they installed a phase 1 valve cover.
Can this be done? I'm guessing its the valve cover from the head that came off the low mileage block.
Would this give me problems? The...
Yeah thinking of poly windows on the front with sliders but don't really want to give up the mcdonalds drivethrough :P.
Sticking with full glass in the back though as I don't mind having some weight in the back. Not planning on going crazy with the weight saving like @scullyg40 is doing. It's...
I was always under the impression that you want to keep some weight on the rear axle :/
When I weighed mine it was 1037.5 kg with full front interior, rear interior stripped and rollbar installed.
Front: 66.89%
Rear: 33.11%
With half a tank of fuel.
