Hi all,
Just bought my 182 a few weeks ago, came to take one of the wheels off to easily measure the hub spacing and it turns out I don't have a wheel wrench/brace/whatever they're called. Tried my other halfs 206 wrench but they weren't shifting so need something a bit longer to get a bit more...
Nobody can see my screen at work so lets just say I had a bit of a long 'break'.
Yeh, I've nothing planned dude, that'd be brilliant as I'm constantly changing my mind on which to go for, it's doing my head in. Also had a failed attempt at getting them washers out last night, got 3 bolts out...
Hi all,
So, seeing as though my 182 has come with what can only be described as a couple of bricks instead of springs for suspension, I'm looking into getting some coilovers. Had AP's on my A3 and they were brilliant for the money.
Looking at the Clio ones, it seems as though some have a...
Just gave this another read through from the start for some ideas.
How you finding the Bilsteins? Not had chance to look at what suspensions on my 182 but they could have just replaced the suspension for a couple of bricks it's that hard. Trying to decide whether to go with the Bilsteins...
It's been a nightmare, over the past few weeks I've had 3 cars lined up to view at the weekends and every one of them has been sold come Friday. Off to see one on Sunday which I've had to wait for due to it needing a new alternator but the guy said he wouldn't sell to anyone else until I came to...
We're selling it in a month or so time so it'll just be a second hand/scrap yard jobby. Was going to patch hole up but it's massive and blowing like a good 'un.
Any recommendations on which sealant to use or are they all pretty much the same?
Hi All,
Quick question, replacing back box on my other halfs 206 at the weekend.
What's the best stuff to use for sealing the joint? Sealant or Putty?
Thanks
Where abouts is it, on the left hand side as you're stood looking at it?
As I say, if the rest of the car is as stated in the advert, I'm going to get it and get all belts, dephaser pulley, water pump etc done anyway.
Hi All,
Just a quick question.
Going to look at a 182 at the weekend and looking at the past MOT history, in 2012 and 2013 an advisory was noted under 'Alternator belt perished+ crack.' However this wasn't apparent on the 2014 MOT. Now the owner says he will lower price as belts need doing and...
I think you're bob on with the statement and exactly what my other half has been telling me.
Seems that one person puts an Inferno on for £3K-£3.5K and everyone follows suit as they believe that's what they're worth. Anyway, I'm not going to consider that 182 at that price, I've seen another...
So, he's said that he will put it through the MOT prior to selling so it will have a full year.
The only thing that bothers me is that on the previous MOT's, in 2013 and 2014 there has been the same advisory for an oil leak. Now I don't know where abouts this is but the seller assures me it's...
TBF, I'm the same and I don't know why. Hate talking on the phone, find it much easier talking face to face.
If people can't be bothered to reply then I'll just move onto the next one, their loss.
If it had a years MOT and I could get him to nearer 2.5K then I may consider it but doubt he'll do both tbh.
Going to drop him another message to see though. Don't ask, don't get.
So it's got 2 keys, invoice is present for belts changed done by Go-Renault in Leicester but the last 2 MOT's have had an advisory that there is an oil leak.
MOT is due next month so at that price, unless the MOT is done, I think I'll swerve it and keep looking.
He's not answered any of my other questions but states the belts were done at Renault Specialist in Nuneaton, which from Googling, seems to be this place: http://www.m2srs.co.uk/
Yeh suppose so.
Just dropped him a message asking who did the belts and when and at what mileage the services were carried out etc. If it sounds good, I may go have a look at it and take it from there. If it seems decent, I'll give him an offer.
