I usually avoid Gumtree as it's fully of jellyheads but I ended up getting my 182 off there. Photos were crap and the ad seemed like it was written by a 2 year old but the basics were there and when I went to go see it, the owner couldn't have been nicer and the car was spot on.

Getting something for £500 that people are paying £200-£300 more for is too good to resist. Plus, I had a ride in @dann2707 182 which had B14's and the ride was excellent. End of the day, I don't think you'll be disappointed with either.

Not sure if I've replied to you on a different thread about them but I had AP's on my A3 and they were brilliant. Search for them on the VAG forums and you'll hardly hear a bad word said about them. I'm undecided on what to get for my 182, either AP's of B14's. I think for the price of them...

LOL at wrapping it being the best option. Strip off all the protection and use a decent cutting compound on a machine polisher. Looking at the pic, I'd say you should be able to get rid of them marks. If worst comes to worst, wet sanding should get rid but you need someone who knows what...

@JoeMarano AP's are brilliant for a daily as they're soft and very comfortable, however I'd say they'd be too soft for track. I had them on my old A3.

Have a soft spot for these when they're done properly. Would defo snap one up if I had the £££.

If it was me, I'd try get it repaired but depends if you fancy a change. Does yours sound really raspy over around 3k revs?

I have a Piper on mine which was already fitted to the car when I got it. Hated it when I first got it but it's grown on me since. Sounds awesome in an underground car park!

Did you choose the 'fancy plates' option rather than 'standard U.K.' option? I know they aren't legal but really want mine without any of the writing on them.
