Just might as well get your money back and buy a more suitable length. 6-7" seems to be the norm... My rear Spax iirc was 11" but replaces them with Fualkers length 9" (400lb).
I have/had the same holes in the bonnet as you and mine as passed scrutineering all this season and last, cant see why it would fail.
Was it MSA registered scrutineered?
Great car, remember having a mooch around this a few years ago.
I would look into getting a correct harness bar as thats a disaster waiting to happen, even more so as its a track car.
Also (you may have done already) but make sure you put some form of spreader plate behind strap bolt on the...
Is the 197 crank sprocket keyed? I know you can buy a 172/182 keyed crank pulley from ED, Pauls crank sprocket slipped at snett (not heard this happening a lot) that seriously damaged the valve train.
Any pics of the 25 ltr tank? *that would put you out of the TT production regs anyway.
How are you and the others getting on with the Spax control suspension? I was running Spax for half of this season and have mixed views.
Damm looks like im gonna have to get my timing checked after all ;)
In hindsight I wish I sprayed the inside of the headlight blanks, the shell then protects the paint from chips
Great write up, I recognise your car, looked to be going well on track anyway...sorry to hear of the niggles you had, but that's expected I guess in a first season with a new car.
Are you running the 25ltr fuel tank? I hear you guys was being plagued with fuel starvation? something that i'v not...
I believe these engines dont need them due to the design of the pick up, but was chatting to a friend who says its better to have one to protect the head/cams from oil starvation, so better to be safe than sorry, still on the fence tbh. Did I hear that pms was doing a baffled sump?
Engine wise, really boils down to what I can afford in the new year, im still running standard internals and cams, ideally like to install 421 cams and a new remap and a baffled sump.
Car wise, stiffen the rear beam and add spherical bearings, as well as new weld in seat mounts.
