lol I like it "pro mechanic" in inverted commas. Not a clue I phoned him today and he gave me that price. I was thinking that refurb the old one and sell it on? Will be a piece of piss to work on the engine once its out the motor!

Been quoted £250 labour. (excluding consumables I think) also get the keep the old engine so I can strip and refurb it Any opinions? (this is a pro mechanic btw) Believe my mate will do it cheaper Should do the clutch aswell he reckons. Thanks

Lambdas arnt cheap though. often wondered if you can wire brush them.

Top end wise theres not going to be a difference, I personally don't see much point in mapping unless you have cams. Although to be fair you see a reasonable increase in torque

Nope dont need to its a pretty new engine. May be beneficial to do fanbelt while its out? fanbelts got 30k behind it So i need everything that in my list correct?

Does Air con need to be re-gassed then? Just to confirm gunna need new pas fluid oil (ovi) +filter coolant air con? How long would it take you Ben?

I probs could do it myself but id rather leave it with my mates then at least it'l be okay! He just said get some qoutes and let me know what garages want. I cant see it being uber difficult to be honest. Just awkward. What would a garage charge people!!???

Can I get away with changing just the fanbelt or do I need to other crap (idler tensioner etc..) also? No abnormal noises coming from the belt so thought I'd probably be okay changing the belt, Thoughts?? Many Thanks

or just leave it off until you sell it then do it.
