I'm up for it still if i'm not working, the later the better would suit me, maybe into May though as loads of bank holidays which may mean traffic at the end of April as mentioned. Means i can bring the S1 Rallye too if its painted as everything else on it is finished!
Russ
Piers, my 106 isn't going to be painted until 1st week in May so i doubt i'll be bringing that, maybe i could lend your LY and you could bring your Mrs C3 :rasp: I'll try and steel a vehicle. Also do you mind if a few mates tag along, normally go for a run out with these guys, possible MK2 FRS...
Hopefully not, generally roads in the lakes are too busy on a weekend for a decent run. Some better roads to be had over the hills, I've no doubt Piers will come up with something fitting.
Russ
Yes from me if i can get the 106 sorted in time, its running and driving just needs painted and a few bits. Not the 09/10 April as i'm racing at silverstone that weekend.
Russ
Is that not just a copy of a 182 manifold by the way? Looks very similar, love the obvious mistakes, housepower lol and also 63mm inlet, really, the exhuast gas flows from back to front, interesting!
Russ
Nice project mate, know crossie's car well. Currently building a black S1 with 16v Jp4 power and 1.3 box myself, looking forward to getting it finished in the next couple of weeks.
Russ
Yeah thats the one Alex.
Yes the engine is pretty much standard with sadev sequential box with plate lsd.
Has headlights and also the covers with the duct for the airbox which will be refitted but it needs to have some sort of forward facing lights to pass scrutineering hence why you'll see...
No problem thanks Matt.
Shiftspark, i'll get some more pics when its all tidied up etc, some interesting bits to see if you've not looked at a cup car much before.
Russ
Greeny, not sure mate, a guy called Fergus Trenholme used to run in the Lma Eurosaloons for a couple of seasons and sold it to someone who hardly used it i think, just a couple of trackdays, no racing so may have been Carlos.
As for the spec the engine is pretty much standard with a V6 Airbox...
Picked it up at the weekend, ex 2006 TCR Onslow-cole Championship winning car. Driven it the grand total of about 20 yards so far, on and off the trailer and into the garage. Spent some time tonight taking all the stickers/numbers off ready for my bits and pieces to go on. Got the side mouldings...
Cheers for that Tony, think we've had this conversation before but that Integra is rediculous, 1.55 on treads, jesus! For referance, i think the fastest i did in the Leon was a 1.57 on slicks, the sister car to my mates 306 did a 1.56 on slicks so should maybe a second or two slower on R888's or...
Nice to have some goals to go at guys no doubt. Will try and get to another round this year for support if i can, was a good day at oulton last time apart from the car trying to kill Tony obviously. Out of interest can you remember what kind of times you guys were doing at oulton as my mate is...
Regardless of anything else including how much a 182 is worth nowadays '197mattblack' without seeing any car you have no right to comment on its condition or previous history. How do you know that 182 in the dealers has been looked after and has full history etc, you dont do you? Also dans 182...
Looking good Piers, still preferred it on the Turini's though + i think it needs a supercharger ;) You'll have to pop round and see the Cup Car at the weekend if you're not busy.
Russ
That way but back by Alston etc instead of a69 would be good. Im out piers as I'm on honeymoon till the 13th but we'll get something organised after that.
Russ
That sounds ace, cant believe its a 535d! The car will be staying standard apart from a remap and maybe some 19's in the future, at the end of the day it was bought to tow my race car around and as a general 'do it all' car, not gonna be spending hugh amounts of money on it. You'll be glad to...
Yeah spec changes are about right, my dads 56 plate is push button start but not efficient dynamics with stop start, as like you say was late 2007 onwards. You can retro fit the paddle shift to the early cars like mine without too much hassle just need to find an M5 steering wheel and paddles...
