I missed you at Snetterton Steve, me and Adam were at the other end of the pit lane. I only realised when i was leaving that there was a few clios tucked out of the way on the way out.
The standard discs are HC so the Brembo replacements are. But obviously the Brembo offer better VFM.
Yep the main Brembo UK distributor has no stock until at least another week.
Not an issue if you find a seller who keeps a buffer stock of them though....
Brembo rear discs come with bearings
Mintex rear discs come with bearings and abs rings.
I don't list the Mintex in my section as the stock levels are very hit n miss with them.
Use the search function mate, gets covered a lot this.
If you pay the small membership fee you will be able to see what's in all the Traders sections and also the very useful guides section.
The money you will save over the year will be a lot more than the fee!
Alright Jack,
I got your PM about brakes mate but can't reply to it, saying it doesn't reconise your username for some reason.
Ill try again now
ps don't know the car, this was only way i could reply to you!
cheers
George
Seperate mate
You can re-use them if you have them on.
If not around £6 each from Renault. Tom@Wests in the Traders section will help you with these i'm sure
Arr you're right that's miles away!
If you don't get sorted over weekend. PM me on Monday, I have a single Mintex rear disc with bearings and abs ring that i can send on next day courier for you so you will get it Tuesday.
I use to order them in singles and then they changed them to pairs, i...
Alright lads, nice to meet you both! Video came out well in end Adam. Ta for advice Steve!
My mechanic mate is James (Jimmy182 on here).
i don't know how you two (Steve and Adam) didn't bump into each other, as was talking with both of you when i wasn't out in car!
Thanks everybody! :D
As said please support the Traders on here as we all look after you in one way or another! Which is the whole point of the forum imo, everybody helping each other out. :approve:
Use the search function in top right corner mate, it gets covered a lot in here.
What make are the discs and pads you've seen ? As they seem very cheap so i would doubt their quality tbh. Have a look in the different Traders' sections on here.
Its a lot of hassle for not a lot of money saved...
Was a good turn out with plenty of decent cars. I was a bit late turning up (I was in my grey mx5 and my mate in his white AM) but got chance to talk to a few of you and have a quick nosey round the cars but i was on nights so couldn't stay too long.
If its not as cold Sunday might give it a quick once over.
Just thought if any of people going want me to bring any of these things in my parts clear out let me know and ill stick them in boot...
Took my MK3 MX5 to Paul at Roddinsons Motorsport yesterday and he lowered and did the allignment and im very happy with it!
It handled well before but now its got 4 new PE2s on and been set up right its brilliant!
Can't recommend him enough, he knows whats he's doing and he's passionate about...
No probs Dan.
"Steve" off here takes his track MX5 there and has nothing but praise for the guy.
I rung him to talk about options and parts for mine and he was very helpful and knowledgable and like you say his prices are spot on. One of first things he asked me was what you using the car...
