I'm replacing the subframe after a smaller accident.
I understand this will most likely be a pain in the behind and I'd like to try to minimize that the best I can.
Should I replace the control arms while I'm there unbolting them from the frame?
I'm already having nightmares where the bushings...
I see but how do they do it? If I understood it correctly, it's possible to map the stock ECU but obviously it's far less potential than a true aftermarket ECU. Can it be done using the RS Tuner?
My timing belt is due to be replaced and as I've been thinking of cams, I may as well get them fitted together with the belt.
I haven't decided what cams yet but aftermarket ECU is not an option so probably 428, Schrick or C&B.
Now, I also have a RS Tuner from Fastchip and I've seen they offer...
I've always found both 172 and 182 wheels quite boring but if I'd had to choose, 182 hands down.
Regarding painting them Kawasaki green, I wouldn't bother. You'd grow tired of them within the month.
I'm really tempted to get a 182 manifold too but can't be bothered fitting it..
I really like the colour of the Ragnotti. Nice looking car you got there!

Not trying to start a debate here but I've never understood what's wrong with the OEM caps in this case, Porsche wheels as Skoda ones. No one runs wheels from another manufacturer in hope of fooling anyone that your Clio 1.2 is something it isn't and since the caps are stock, I can't see why...
They are all the rave!

It's a handheld tool with which you can remap your car with their 98 RON map that is supposed to improve torque and cold-starting ability.
Do a search mate!
I have yet to get my 172 remapped after having bought a tuner a few months ago so can't give you...
Honestly, not much.
Removed the CD-changer and replaced the HU with an Alpine unit I had laying around.
Bought a RS Tuner and Cup spoiler after less than two months of ownership but I have yet to get both fitted!
From what I've gathered browsing this forum, don't bother with an OMP one as it's a really tight fit to get the cable for the horn through. Momo's boss kit is supposed to be better.
Stock iceberg 172 that could easily mistaken for an ordinary 1.4 so nope, absolutely no comments.
People are more questioning my sanity when they see my "new" car and wonder why I bought a damn Renault. :)
Modded the front by hitting an old tire from a lorry or trailer on my way home for the holidays. Anyone selling a bumper and a radiator? Just as I was starting to really like to drive the car again.. FML.
That's what I thought. Glad I didn't buy one then.
Went by a real shady garage last night after work and to my surprise they happily welded it at around 8 PM for ~£30.
Thanks everyone!
Erm.. what?
Are those that ECP offer Sport specific or some generic Clio back box? There are several places who offer cheap Clio back boxes but I wasn't sure it'd fit so that's why I asked here.
Ebay.de (slightly faster deliveries) offers Clio 1.4 back boxes for €35.
Will it fit though?
Thank you!
I was actually looking at KTEC's exhausts and wasn't far from ordering their recessed sports cat back but after reading a few comments here I quickly changed my mind. I've heard their stealth cat back is almost as bad so I rather not buy their back box either.
Good to know about...
Looks a bit chav. :(
I hope I'd be able to keep it stock looking without drone or a booming exhaust sound until I finally pull the plug on a decent stainless cat back.
