I'm a Meg's endurance tyre gel fan. Use first time, let dry and then reapply and last a lot longer than AG instant tyre shine (and instantly dull again!!!)

172 Cups are getting towards 10+ years old for the first ones (52 plate)...so 10 years at an average of 12k wouls be 120k for 'average' mileage. My Cup seemed to be getting stronger as it was hitting 100k...but didnt get there...was 500 miles short when she was sent to petrol heaven. :(

It would make mid range better..but you lose top speed. For the price and hassle of doing it...you wont get much in terms of bhp increase (1 or 2 if you are lucky), just better driveability. Its not worth it mate. An old friend has his 172Cup with sports cat 200 cell instead of 300 cell, 182...

Have a look at aria.co.uk as they do overclocked systems whereby they do all the work in overclocking an i5 so will be pretty good to use. I have one and highly recommend them. Good prices and they have a forum should you have any questions or issues. :)

I'd leave them in...for the sake of the drive down and running a couple of kilos there's no advantage...you will be deaf on m'way due to exhaust drone and you need a benchmark to get yourself better from.
