Does this also act as a warning light for any reason? I ask because mine keeps flickering on under medium/harder acceleration. Don't know whether it's just typical Renault wiring/electricals though. Any help much appreciated. Tom

Yes it is possible, it's not illegal. The problem is that one could cancel if they found out about the other and it opens a nasty can of worms, so not practically.

They're quoting £300 fitted inc diagnostic time so it's about right then.

Had the 172 in at Renault because of an issue with the lights. The uch has been found to be faulty and when they tried one from another clio it worked fine. Do I need a uch unit from another 172 or will one off a similar age clio of any spec/engine work? Thanks in advance.

All fuses are fine mate, can't see any dodgy connections either. It started with just my dash lighting not working. Then the rear lights stopped but fogs, reverse and indicator still work. Then a few days later the headlights stopped working? Didn't know whether it was a loom or wiring problem.

Bump! Come on, need to find out if there's any grounding points that aren't that obvious?.... Anyone?

Would it not be better to sell the whole engine with the setup or is that what you're talking about?

I've got a problem with my headlights and backlighting on the dash not working. They have randomly come on once or twice when it's been raining as though that's affecting it but only for a few seconds. Spoke to a friend who used to work for Audi and he reckons it's the grounding. Anyone know...

They're a shower of s**t mate all the AC dealers are. Wouldn't trust them with my car when I was a member of staff, they caused that much damage to the rear brakes and my GF's alloys.

i saw that car about 2 months before that was shot at oulton park when i was doing my work experince back in 2003, had a sit in it. very very very nice car!
