Yes, I get around. I run a 250meg Clio, and do track days . I am at Anglesea 30 June, then 2 days at Spa mid July, and will be doing Oulton/Cadwell sometime this year.
Make sure you plug in first, then turn on ing., and start car, and if this what you have done, then I am not sure what the problem is. I have used code readers, from cheap to expensive, and never had a problem.
Time?. I don't know, but very proud when the instructor said............Ive never slid this far off track before, I didn't know there was grass out here!!.
How you have managed to go through all this, is beyond me. Its very nice to see progress at last. A few of us are at Anglesea on the 30 June, and if you make it there, I will buy you a coffee. Feel honoured!!. I don't usually do this!!.Keep us posted, as I am almost as frustrated as you should be!.
My son has a R26 track car, and a 220 Trophy, and he loves the trophy, fantastic gear box, excellent handling etc, and he is very fussy with his cars, so I don't think you should be at all worried about purchasing one.
Being an audio addict,i have had subs/amps/eq in cars, never very satisfactory. Now I have a single din, cheap pioneer, with USB, and plug in iPhone, then use decent earphones,Shure 846/Westone/iSine, far better than anything I previously have used, and far less weight for track use!.
I have holes behind front number plate, and remove plate when on track. If the guy wants to put holes in the rear,OR anything else, thats fine by me. Its his car/money after all.

Wilson sold it to Glen, who sold it to me. When I purchased it, it was in a very sorry state, torn recaro, bald tyres, cracked, and very badly repaired alloy wheels, leaky rad, going into limp mode, and a standard 250 map on it, to try and cure limp mode.(It Didn't !.)and far...
The fan has not cut in to cool the water, and if stationary, there is no airflow. Was there no warning from the temperature gauge?. Let it cool, before adding any water, then start. Check the oil level, and if car starts, keep checking both, you might be lucky.
Discovered that there was air lock. from the turbo to the turbo radiators,so another job fixed. Having new wheels/tyres next week's ,so car, is finally there. I feel you need to be dedicated to get through all the problems, so is it all worth it?. Definitely, once you drive it. So September 1st...
Young Wilson sold it to Glen3, who sold it to me. When I got it, it went into limp mode at higher revs, torn Recaro, bald tyres, bonnet pull broken, and many other little niggles, which was a shame for such a potentially great car. I checked map, and it was a standard 250 map, put on it, to cure...
I had R26R, R26, and now run Megane engined Clio. I did try a 265, lovely car, but not for me, and I won't be changing the Clio for anything else, so it is possible to come from the other end of the scale as well.
