Nice car. I run a Meglio, not stripped as much as yours, and doing long distances, I use earplugs sometimes. Yours, I am sure, will be noisier.Personally, I would use it as a road car as well.
I run only one car,a Meglio, and it does Tesco/track days,, so I don't fell you need a car, dedicated to track use. My car is very capable on road/track, BUT, the old git driving it lets it down!.
From home to track, 200KM would be wonderful!. September, I travel to Oulton,(Around 550 miles). then onto Anglesea for track days, then back to N/E Scotland, including mileage on track, around 1600miles, Spa, for me , is around 1200 miles one way.and yes, I go there as well!. and at 79 years...
Here in N/E Scotland, near Thurso, I represent myself, as there is no one else up here.I put myself forward to represent myself?. I don't think that probable, or legal?!.
Congratulations on the baby. I had an FQ400, running 636/586lbs torque.I now have a Meglio 197, with 320/340, and its a far better car overall. The Evo bought me out in a sweat, the Meglio makes me smile.
Now had Cambelt kit,new front disks,DS1.11 pads, new rear disks/pads/ couple of ball joints, Gearbox cables/ service. Just had a great day at Anglesea. I think back to back, Oulton/Anglesea is next. Car runs so well now.I think the only thing I might look at, would be something like a Twingo...
Most people are aware of their cars value. If you are happy looking by yourself, fine, if not take someone with you. Also try the car forums, for sale section.
Wonderful photos.I live in N/E Scotland, and the roads around here, are single track, with passing places. The west coasts perhaps prettier, while the East coast, is Wilder, less populated. Anyone, who has not visited Scotland, do not know what they are missing.
Hopefully, you will find a sense of relief, that this saga has come to an end. At times I have felt depressed/annoyed about your car, so I can't imagine what you have been through!. Move on, ignore any negative comments, its your life after all.
Welcome to the forum.I live around 12 miles from Thurso.I also had many problems with my Clio when I got it, but all now solved. My first track day this year, Cadwell in April.Very few Renaults up this way.
My Meglio is a cat C, and I have seen the original damage. It had new wing/bonnet/bumper, and I am fine with that.No problem with a cat C, providing damage was repaired properly.
I feel one of the best ways to meet, is a Track day. People are committed, when they spend their own money. I have seen so many meetings organised, plenty of enthusiasm, then 4 people turn up. Track day, you put your money where your mouth is. My first one this year, Cadwell 8th April. Too far...
I think one way to meet, and ensure people turn up, is a Track Day. If people are committed, then they book, and pay, and more than likely turn up, SO, maybe a track day?. I live in N/E Scotland, so Oulton would be around 560 miles away, but I would book, and travel. Anyone else put their money...
