This is the exhaust paste I use, never had any problem with it (so far). It goes on like a sealant:

Finally got my sticker printed :)
I got a few of these made up as well (in vinyl silver), have a few extra that I will put up for sale when I get the time.
he said he was going to keep the decat ON... lol. :)
Well I have just been playing with my maps and am having some very interesting results. The OEM map gives the 5K kick (4.5k dip) a lot more then my second hand copy of the RON98 map, but the RON98 map doesn't really seem to give any extra...
you probably shouldn't be going to that sort of car show if it annoys you... and its only anti-social if you use it in anti-social situations. I wouldn't class mine as anti social as I only every really use that rev range when im playing on the b roads away from civilisation.
I like the smaller pops it makes, which is what it will do most of eh time if you quick enough on the gear change and don't let the revs free from 6K+ (or back of the accelerator with the revs about5.5K. If you back off the accelerator between 4 and 5K, you get a really nice constant popping...
I don't understand that post. To replace the head you had to (obviously) remove the cam belt, so you would have had to do the exactly the same thing as you did to reassemble the engine that you would have done with a new belt anyway?!! And now your going to have to do it again?! :S
I have p&b map, from what I can tell, it has made very little difference to the mpg. tbh the difference that is seen is more due to me revving higher at times just to make it pop a bit past 4k (it goes down to about 34/35mpg if I do this often). Under normal driving, i'm seeing between 36 to 40 mpg.
belts on a D7F are easy, not like the F4R. When I did my 1.2, I just tensioned it until I could twist the belts no more than 45degrees in each direction. It did around 50000 on the first change and 30000 (and still going) in the second change without problems.
leave a note on the dashboard saying something like "Please make sure the engine is up to operating temperature before running the emissions test. This takes about XXX minutes on 3KRPM. Failure to do this will result in the car failing the emissions test. Thank-you" - replace the XXX with the...
My 1.2 used to fail spectacularly unless it was properly warmed up. I would be making sure the engine is up to temp at drop off, and make sure you tell the garage to make sure its up to temp before doing the emissions tests. Place I used to get my MOT done use to just leave it on the fast idle...
I think its probably going to hit something at some point, so I didn't want to spend too much on a splitter that inevitably will get broken and need replacing again. The skoda one is quite rubbery as well, so I think it might actually survive coming into contact with something without too much...
I have just used my 3M kit and thought I would feedback what I found when using it.
1. I found even with the area masked off, the sanding discs still managed to cut 'slice' through the masking tape and scratch the paintwork. This is because the sanding discs are a little bit to big for the...
I think it looks really good considering its only £16 delivered. I was a bit worried before it was fitted as on its own it looks very cheap, but once fitted it looks fine imo. Its certainly better than not having a splitter at all! Very happy with the result :)
I would be putting some exhaust assembly paste around the join sealing the gaps, then some aluminium exhaust tape on that and then bind it with some exhaust repair bandage. Then a decent wide clamp. It wont leak then :)
I really liked you photoshop. If i'm honest, i'm not keen on the current state of your car.
If you know you going to get another Clio (172/182), why don't you go ahead with the alloys? They wont be a waste of money as you can use them for track use when you upgrade the car. Also the front...
its also supposed to be a forum for all mks and models... and I would hardly call a Mk3 1.2 a turd. You will get the same mpg in a 172/182 however, so if that's you only reason the maybe swap?
yes straight through exhaust and I like foam filters these days, itg or ramair. Location of the filter is more important. You want it in the coldest spot possible. have you also considered getting the TCE turbo for it? This will get you 110/120bhp with lots of torque.
HDMI input is brilliant imo. Means I can watch the HDMI input whilst chatting on Skype or playing a game. imagine watching sports with your long distance mates with in screen video. Also it means I don't have to change the input on my projector/tv. Also the Kinect will just be in a low power...
if you want it to pull better, you want to increase the torque as much as possible. not sure I would believe the claims of that 'chip'. Also you don't want back pressure, that is a misunderstood term. you will struggle to make the D7F pull any better without spending major bucks. Also keep in...
that's pretty good going to strip the sunwheel. Not sure if that can be replaced without taking apart the box? either way, you will now need a new drive shaft and sun wheel. Unless you can pin it.
It will be near enough exactly the same as its not being rendered in real time on the console. It is just a video file being played on the console. Just as it would be the same if you played it from youtube or wherever. All your doing is playing a HD video file, not rendering animation.
