V8's sound amazing yes, but straight 4s also sound pretty good imo. I think the F4R sounds lovely with an aftermarket induction kit or even better, itb's. Its far from a 'turd'.
He must have misinformed me then. What you have said though sounds a bit odd though as the unlock code is related to the previous car, not the new car your putting it onto, unless he has told me that incorrectly too? I'm sure Chip has confirmed that for me before though...
As far as i'm aware...
its great even on my old HP touch smart tx2. It seems a bit pointless now for many, but when touch screen is classed as standard on laptop/PC's, then it will make more sense. Using the touch interface is much faster for everyday tasks.
Not according to Henk. I asked him this explicitly. I'm not saying your wrong, but if someone could confirm this it would be helpful.
Perhaps he did not understand my question. Perhaps you have confirmed it yourself (i.e. used it for mapping the previous car without problems, not just using the...
sounds to me like you have a faulty injector which is causing to much petrol to enter that chamber. I would be swapping it out asap as it could cause bore wash.
yep its on the todo list, along with wheel referb and bumper respray :)
p.s - I also have 2 styles of the 182 stickers available for purchase in the for sale section now (no 172 ones) in case anyone saw it and thought 'i'd like one of those' :)...
You got 50mpg from a D7F? You must have been driving slow as f**k. My 1.2NA gets on average 36 to 40mpg, as does our TCE.
And yes, I also thought coasting will take more fuel as the engine will being using fuel to keep the engine running. When your in gear and not accelerating, the fuel supply...
Yes I could if enough people wanted them (would need at least 8 people to want them). I would hold off though for the moment as I have a different design being made up that you might like better.
Just putting this out there, others will have to confirm if this is viable or not...
As you tight on money at the moment, could you net get the guy to do it for £250, then if he gets it wrong take it to diamond motors to be timed correctly? I don't think you would need a new belt if it was done...
Yep blueflame, I have one to :) They were £450 new and are made from stainless steel. Quite a nice sound to them with the cat in place, but imo are a little to tiny with the cat removed (it might just be that I have a loose baffle).
do it, then if you don't like it undo it and sell the decat on here. If you decide to keep it though, just make sure you declare the wholes exhaust system as aftermarket on the insurance.
hit a but of roadkill that was in the middle of the road today, so happy I didn't have a carbon or oem one as the both would have broken! The skoda one stood up to it extremely well. It definitely has a bit more forgiveness in it than the oe/carbon ones.
did you try wrapping it in the silver tape? i.e. firegum on the inner pipe, put into the outer pipe, more firegum around the edges (fill the gaps), then the aluminium exhaust tape?
failing that, what about some sort of very high heat epoxy?
