This is like one of those posts that you really want to delete/edit, but its gone past the edit timeout... sure they didnt all have under tightened head bolts?!
Is it a compression/u clamp? cant you just rotate it so the bolts face sideways instead of down?
Yeah no problems. Can do it at the next meet if you like?
s**t, bet he was a bit pissed considering he didnt really want to go that way home anyway! My journey home was uneventful; stop in a layby to messure my exhuast noise level, which came out to 76dbA on idle (could test 5Krmp as extra pair of hands needed!).
Yes take it to someone like Dan, it will save you money in the long run even if it initially cost more (which I doublt it would cost much more). You will be pissed if you get some knobber to put in your new engine, just to have the belt slip again 3 months down the line!!
Yep just got back myself about 15mins ago :) found the way out in the end! lol.
Thanks for the wax Plymcl/Ed, will be giving it the test on the next sunny day :) what happens if I really like it? Can I buy some for the source?
Shame the carpark was closed. Next time maybe we should meet a...
I might be getting a few (10 or 20) inside window versions printed. Spares will be going for free once they are done :) They will be white and effectivly replace your existing Cs sticker.
I should be coming. I will be bring my dB meter with me so if you want your exhuast messured let me know :)
Whats the plan for tonight? not sure if I should bring my camera as well?
you can also use a hair dryer over the GPU chip if the oven dosnt take you fancy. Works like a charm. Sometime syou can actually hear them falling back into place. its safer than the towel trick as the GPU is not powered on.
you can get kits to fix them without reballing with a resonable sucess rate. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-ULTIMATE-Xbox-360-Repair-Kit-RROD-Red-Ring-Xclamp-Uniclamp-/250938298587?pt=UK_VG_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item3a6d1690db
Failing that, I put my PCB in the oven and it did the trick!
Ok thanks guys. From a few posts there it seems like its just the way its go to be :( i will check the heatsheilding for cracks but I wont hold my breath.
Scorpion decat and bluefame catback. Its not leaking, I have physically checked. Its much more metallic sounding than what a leak sound would be. Its a similar sound to a loose baffle in the rear can, but its sounding from the decat section...
yes. At first I thought it could have been the heat sheilding rattling, but check it all and the noise is coming from the pipe (got someone to rev the car whilst I was under it).
I'm almost 100% happy with how may car drive and sounds at the moment (looks wise it need some work, but thats for the summer). Only thing thats annoying me is a metallicy / rattlely sound at around the 3Krpm mark. Its only started happenning sinse I put the decat on. It kinda sounds like the...
im not really seing the link between what I said and gok... I wasnt talking about fashion, I was talking about showing more flesh for me to drool over... Nice original copy btw Heez from AK's post :clown:
You can get them quite cheap from RadioWorld on ebay, not as cheap as the normal ISO sockets though. Might be able to get discount if you buy 10+ maybe...
