Well Mister Auto let me down so had to purchase directly from the stealers for the shocking price of £124. So just fitted it and what do you know it DIDN'T work, car is no different.
So fecking sick of this car now you wouldn't believe. I'll have to take it to Renault now to get on CLIP to see...
Live road mapping is best as stated above. First a generic map will be uploaded then you and the tech will take the car for a spin and they will record the likes of AFR, LTFT, boost, fuel pressure etc on a laptop then go back and via a tuning platform will adjust the map to a nice safe level and...
If the pedal is normal then no need to bleed again, but if your getting extended travel then there's air in the system which need to come out. Try this first though...with the engine off try pumping the brakes 2-4 pumps and see if the pedal goes solid, if so then turn the engine on and the pedal...
No need to bleed the lower nipples, just bleed the upper one at a time. Try gravity bleeding for a minute or 2 and then have someone pump the pedal whilst you open and close the nipple. If that doesn't work then you may have air within the abs pump, if so go out and find a dirt path or patch of...
Got you mate, so no important chassis upgrades or trick diffs or anything... not worth the extra ££££'s then really is it.
My old man used to import all the jap stuff until the crazy import charges came into force, he had them all starting from the mk1 up until the 7 or 8. I've always preferred...
Yeah mate, I'll request them to reorder direct from ATE as they're a common part for the RS, I'll also tell them to update the system so they appear online.
Ahh good on you, glad it's sorted bud. I'm gonna have to pay for the Renault part. I'm now doubting its the actual sensor though. Need to get it on CLIP before I spend £120 on something i don't need. Feckin Renault's!!!
Yep, same here. They told me it was even in stock but then said "lost in transit" when i went to collect. I've just ordered a used stub Axel with ABS sensor attached. £35
Just ordered a NSR 182 stub axel from eBay (for the abs sensor) but being a bit silly didn't think that the 182 & 182 cup may have different parts, can someone confirm this please?
Thanks in advance
Phil
We actually seen one yesterday, I'd just fitted some yellow OZ F1's for wet weather tracking and I was saying that the wheels were a bit chavvy but where functional, we then seen one like the OP's but with red wheels and she said "could be worse, your Clio could look like that" I didn't even...
Stop spending money on handling mods the Clio doesn't really need. Spend it on actual track days instead, but substitute the PS3's for track tyres and get some decent front pads.
Needed is a car which is mechanically sound. 2 x sets of 15" rims one with decent wet weather tyres (RS3's in 195/50/15) for commuting to and from and when its pissing it down on track, the other set with upper range track tyres (used 888/Ad08 from ebay) and decent discs and pads up front...
Just ordered some of these, can deal with a bit of noise for more grip. Mine is predominantly a track car though. Not sure I could deal with the noise as a daily mind. Let us know how you get on over the next few weeks...
Its just this side (attached) of one disc which is quite badly scored, but a few more hundred miles of aggressive braking will flatten it out nicely. The other 3 sides are now pretty much smooth again after only 30 minutes.
