I thought just place ecu in place , tighten up 10mm nuts holding the ecu , once that's done just push the top interlock bit downwards and that should be it.

If it's collapsed , it will lean to one side.
Also underneath are the bearing race and top hat , those locate in the rubber bush , check it's all tight there.

I'm guessing he would have had to cut the window out from inside with an extremely sharp blade , once glass is out , clean up surface area , let it dry , apply bonding agent and place poly-carbs in to position and allow to set. I'd imagine the hardest bit is cutting out the original bonded window.
