mines just ticked over 92k, still feels really tight and strong. get the right bits replaced at the right time and they should last for 200k i would imagine.
i cleaned my TB about 3 weeks ago, doesn't make any difference. Mine always starts first time, but sometimes likes to have a bit of a splutter...Mine also makes a wierd "chirping" noise when it starts - i have no idea whats making the nosie!
I paid £2600 for my 02 80k 172 18 months ago. It won't long before they are around the 2k mark imo.
Take into account vfm, spec, cost to run, comfort, performance and i doubt you'd find anything on the roads to match them. Bargainous!
i think the standard seats are pretty good, remove the spacers and they can sit a bit lower.
The only problem with them is the seat back wobbles on almost every one i've had. There must be a way to tighten them up somewhere...
I've searched the forum but can't seem to find a conclusive answer. The hub has 3 flat grooves in the spline bit. Is this suitable for a 172 ph2? How can this part fit both ph1 and ph2?
