Map/MAF sensor looks like this they were used on Mk1 clios which used the same airbox. on the Mk2, they got replaced with ones that looked like this which can be seen in the bottom right of your picture. So don't worry, you not missing anything :)

Because I liked the sound ? Just because its a 1.2 doesn't mean its got to be quite. You can make any car 'quiet', it doesn't mean 'powerful' imo. Also how slow do you think the 1.2s are? I never found my 1.2 that slow tbh, you just had to rev it quite a bit to get the best out of it. I sure...
