Just ordered 4 new injectors to solve the flashing EML light of death. Excited for it to be running right. Love throwing parts at a car thats for sale :ROFLMAO:
I'll give it a go. I'm aware it doesnt degrade like others so dont over work it basically.
I'll sell it back to you? £50 plus shipping. I'll throw in some crisps and a Mars bar?
Ah fair enough. I probably jumped on this a bit too quick.
I've read such mixed reviews about Tipple. But I imagine its, as usual, a mix up of what it's designed to do. Great to hear it can be used both ways as with SRP. Thanks for the info :)
That's it matey. Not even touched them yet as the cars been misbehaving. Doesnt deserve to be treated to a wax. Its had slapped wrists and potentially some new injectors.
Also. Some of those waxes smell INCREDIBLE. I've had to hide them in a drawer to resist eating them. And before any of you...
Forensic detailing is a go to of mine. Love his comparisons. And his 135/140 is mint. I'm after one so that's how I found him!
It was more seeing how SRP managed with Renault paint as I know it's quite soft. Dont want any strike through!
Much better than polishing by hand. Although I suppose it's one way to work those shoulders 😂.
Out of curiosity, how did you find it corrects? Want to correct mine before its sold but I'm trying to find the right product that balances cut but not too much cut if you catch my drift.
The cylinder ordering is in the above post. As for removing the injector and rail it's pretty easy. 3 bolts (one removes the fixing for all the wiring. Take that off to remove the fuel line more easily.) When you put them back in, make sure you use some sort of lubrication. I use WD40 on my...
Oops my bad! I think I recall watching a thread on replacing the lines and they mentioned not to break them as they're not available anymore. Shows how much I pay attention 🤣
If I recall correctly, the rear brake lines are no longer made for the 182. Assume they would be similar for 172? Someone with more knowledge will be able to confirm :)
From what i've read, if you are struggling with it lasting, try prepping the paintwork a bit further. Do a chemical decon (fallout remover) and maybe a clay and then apply it. Should bond better and last longer. Or, perhaps the two are just different and one is better than the other!
Off the back of this, theres something else to mention. Turtle wax ceramic sealant was tested to be less good at water beading but last much longer! I also got it at about 1/4 of the price on Euro car parts. Worth keeping an eye out for. I must disclaim, I haven't gotten round to using it yet...
Awesome. Thanks lads. I'm a sucker for shiny tips and judging by the state of this exhaust I'm gonna need to put some elbow grease into it.
Does the metal polish help against future or is a sealant needed for that?
On the topic of exhausts. Anyone got tips for really badly carbon(ed?) Exhaust tips. Those black stubborn spots. Polish sometimes works but anything else easier to shift them?
Need some advice. Got a new exhaust on it's way and...well...its needs some TLC. It's very dirty and needs a good polish. I've got some metal polish (autosol I think). Any better suggestions?
Was thinking some apc to wipe it down, then get polishing. Any other suggestions?
