When I got my car home for the first time a few weeks back I took a quick check underneath. Thought it might have lived on a farm in a previous life as there was loads of mud underneath. This absolute chunk just fell onto my feed while machine polishing. Must have been in the arch liner...

Those are clean as a whistle! I've found some Mickey mouse ones on ebay (the goofy ones are all out of stock) so I'll see how I go. Tempted to polish mine up and if I dont like them, repaint them. Cheers for the suggestion. This is fast turning into a bmw page 😂

Oh. Well ours are very similarly aged then! Mines July reg I think! Well theres your problem then Mark! I've known people to wipe them after every single drive. Bit much for me but each to their own. As you say, C'est la vie! That backbox butchery sounds pretty awful. If it makes you feel any...

Think your car is newer than mine too? That makes me feel better! I've looked into replacement ones but for less money I could get someone to respray them and then ceramic coat them. Such a design flaw but no cars perfect I suppose!

It's called Essence. Not sure what colour it's for. Sterling looks good but I'm afraid that if I start using it I'll eat it. It smells utterly delicious

Morning guys! Home straight of correction today. Then its onto sealing it all up. Of the selection I've got above, anyone have any suggestions as to which to go for? I appreciate different waxes do different things (to an extent) but any suggestions are helpful 🤘

75% is still a massive achievement on a black car. The difference must be huge! It's hot here too (sussex) and I'm getting properly red. Keep coming inside and getting laughed at 😂. Post some pics when it's all waxed up 👍

I'm using a hex logic green pad (medium/ light polish) with meguiars ultimate compound. I found it to be a nice balance between getting the swirls removed without going too nuts. It's also the heaviest pad I've got lol. I'm not getting that much dust tbh. Keeping the working area in the shade...

Its cos everyone's got the time haha! Cheers, I'm honestly chuffed. This is the first serious correction I've done and I'm happy with the results. Still need to polish it up but its going well. I've also just found a section on the bonnet I must have missed 🙈

Cutting is going well. Really wish I had bought more pads but that's life! Nearly finished with the bonnet and the passenger side of the car. Slow progress but I'm taking my time

Basically I've been a massive fan of the spray on 'ceramic' waxes. But I just fancy a change. So should I just polish and then go straight to wax?

Just found some Autoglym "Extra Gloss Protection" Sealant I got given for xmas. Anyone used this? Recommends it after polishing (I assume to lock in any fillers) but as im not sure of Meguiars Ultimate Polish has any fillers, is this useful? Can you wax over the top? (Yes, I know, I want to wax...

Fully decon'd the car. Clay bar and tar removal (surprised at the amount of tar!). Washed twice. Managed to cut and polish the bonnet as was experimenting with different compounds. Absolutely shagged now. Roll on tomorrow for a quick wash again as being left outside over night. Then cut and...

Advice needed. As you can see, I've achieved quite a fair correction (in my opinion) and I'm pretty pleased considering this is the first time ive really given this a shot. Got this stuff from ECP when it was about £5 a bottle. Tested it on my new (to me) car after a spray decon only and its beading its nuts off 3 weeks later. Considering Meguiars is over £20 a bottle now, this is a total bargain and wished I had bought 4 😂
