I part x my R5 with the
odyssey blue Clio I own now, regardless of colour I still would have done the deal with him as I've always been a fan of the 172 so it was a perfect opportunity.
However, I now own a white phase 1 Clio 172, not many done plus it came with the cage which is what I...
I went to pick this up today after deciding to go ahead with a new project, the next stage for me would have been to purchase a rollcage and fit it in my Odyssey Blue 172 but on seeing this shell i knew it was for me. It's going to take a while to have it finished but i'll enjoy doing it. My...
Does the ABS system on the phase 1 Clio 172 run by means of a seperate ECU or does it run off the main ECU? Or how does it actually work? I only ask as the next project is completely bare so i can only assume for now that it's not rigged up.
I've been on the search threads and also seen people...
Just aerosol cans bought from Halfords, i chose the colour that looked ok on the lid top and went from there. Like i said they're not perfect but would probably look ok when on the car, i've done a few sets of wheels over the years
I need to make a decision soon, i have white 2118 wheels too.
I need to decide whether to roll on white 2118s or metallic grey OZ's on a white phase 1 Clio 172, either way a set of wheels will go
Look much better in the pics than in real life, been refurbing this set of 4 OZ F1 wheels i picked up from breakers yards in the store room at home. Painted in Ford metallic grey and lacquered, not sure whether to fit them yet.
Year of the cars not the years in whichi owned them :o

The beauty for me is starting all over again, a bank canvas and get to rebuild the whole car back up from the shell with all the existing parts off the blue Clio. I can also do things just the way i'd like it to be, as mentioned with the loom and ECU run it inside the car, basically to put my...
The missus has a 54 plate Clio Dynamique with Xenon headlights, what i'd like to know is do i need to remove anything off the car i.e bumper etc like the 172-182 to replace the blown bulb?
Thanks
White Clio's do look awesome, love those pics of the white Clio's. My guess is they are Clio cup cars being prepped to go out, IIRC cup car shells are always white when they left the factory. I have my eyes on something that's already white.....
Ok, so i'm almost on the verge of making a decision on buying a shell with a cage intact. The plan i have it to use my Odyssey Blue 172 as a donor for all parts that will be needed to complete to swap over. I've always wanted a shell to work on, i've had the 172 for over 2 years and in that time...
Hehe thanks for the parking space
The alloy trumpets are cut into the OE plastic foglight holders, drivers side is used as ram air for the V6 box. F1 wheels are going back on next week. K Tec carbon bonnet too
Are there any companies selling these that give CS members discount? Failing that the best/cheapest company to buy them from?
I'd like to go 20mm each side, do they supply bolts that hold them to the disc as well? Then assume it's ok to use my wheel bolts on them?
Would like to get a set for...
I'm bored, and when i'm bored i think of random things i'd like to do to my phase 1 172, the latest idea being paint colour. I just love the white 'T' reg phase 1 Clio in the top pic on the forum, i assume it's not a 172 AFAIK they didn't start the 172 until a 'W', never did the phase 1 in the...
I bought mine as single wheels from different beakers at £35 each and in need of a refurb. I've just finished painting them myself, they've gone from OE silver, primer, orange, primer and now metllic grey
