White 172

I'm bored, and when i'm bored i think of random things i'd like to do to my phase 1 172, the latest idea being paint colour. I just love the white 'T' reg phase 1 Clio in the top pic on the forum, i assume it's not a 172 AFAIK they didn't start the 172 until a 'W', never did the phase 1 in the UK in white and assume they never did it at all inc phase 2.

After speaking to a chap at work his friend runs a bodyshop and says he could paint the Clio for £1.2k... worth doing? Decisions as i've seen a white phase 2 for sale and tempted to go for it...... Is it just me, i think white really suits the Clio

It does suit the clio well but I would be worried that it's just a trend, and like most trends it will go out after a few months

How many white Clios are there i wonder, genuine 172 phase 1s that are painted white?

I saw a pic of part assembled White 1*2s next to an assembly line in the alpine factory not too long ago.. Were they cup racers or special editions does anyone know? They had roof scoop/ air intake pods and black alloys iirc... I'll try and find the pic later

i bought my white clio 172 on saturday and love it, yeh white cars are like abit of a trend lately every car ad has a white car on it but i think clio's look awesome in white and in my opinion i didnt want one in any other colour it has to be your decision but i would do it!!!!!!!!!!!

yeh thats the one i picked it up saturday!!! really like it but maybe could do with a quieter exhaust, sounds really nice but abit loud for when i have my daughter in the car

I couldn't give a s**t if they were trendy or not. I love the look of 1*2's in white.

Paint isn't worth it IMO. Unless I was going for a mint finish etc for a driveway car.

If your definate on doing it get a price on vinyl aswell.

ye but a vinyl wrap would p**s you off everyday you opened the door and saw the original colour on the door shuts etc.
it can be done, dont get me wrong but thats some serious extra work, door off etc and the extra vinyl to wrap around the shuts and then around the back of the doors. pita.

You should deffinately have it done, (sprayed), I have a white 172 cup and my best mate has a blue 182, I get compliments everywhere and to be fair, my mates blue clio gets ignored! Do it! Here is mine...

white clios look mint! i would go for it mate but only if its complete, ie, door shuts, under bonnet and inside. will look awesome!

White Clio's do look awesome, love those pics of the white Clio's. My guess is they are Clio cup cars being prepped to go out, IIRC cup car shells are always white when they left the factory. I have my eyes on something that's already white.....
