Hi jameseboy! Car look nice and tidy! First thing I would check before mods etc on that sort of millage is that the cam belt has been changed (it should have been changed after 5 years regardless of the millage, but it may have been missed).
Hope you continue to enjoy it! :)
Have you considered a twingo 133? you might be able to get insurance on that and they are quite fun. Also with a budget that big, consider the clio Mk3 100TCE model as it can have quite a few things done to it to boast the performance to give 120bhp+.
save it as a PDF file. then using PDF software like acrobat, use the 'extract pages' tool to save each page as an individual pdf file. Also try just printing to a pdf file (install a PDF print driver like CutePDF) as this can sometime reduce the size compared with other formats/methods of saving.
most scanners come bundled with some OCR software, which will allow you to scan the document and convert it into a word document. As mentioned before, Adobe Acrobat also has built in OCR technology to convert PDF images to text.
as you are in education, I think you can get it for free via DreamSpark (Microsoft's academic site) provided your academic institute is in the program.
check the wiring between the stereo and fuse box for dead shorts (it may have got hot, melted the insulation and be touching metal of the car). Easy way to check this is to remove and disconnect the head unit, then turn the ignition on. If the fuse doesn't blow, then its probably the head unit.
pulled up an old thread there Karl! Was a good read though, supports what I was saying on another thread that there are a lot of clio's that are within +/-10hp of there listed values :p
the 'imo' in my post means 'in my opinion', the OP can take it of leave it, its just my opinion of how I felt they performed on my car.
I'm sorry, I thought that's what is was called as that's what its posted as all over the forums, glad you got some lols from it. Here's some of my sources...
Here's my opinions:
1. Toyo T1R's, good but they wear to quickly. Wet grip is not amazing. Economy is poor.
2. Pirelli PNero-Zero's, imo these are an average road tyre. Economy is ok but that about it. Bit of axle tramp when wet.
3. Hankook V12, got these on at the moment. Cant wait until they...
This was the case with the current xbox as well though; they didn't feel the need to style that like a media centre box. I don't see any reason why it would look anything like an apple TV box tbh...
changed the engine oil + filter. Filter done hand tight with rubber glove on, drain plug probably done up too tight (did it to 25nm but that felt to soft, so did it nearer to 40nm)!
'I cannot believe it, he's driving in the right hand f**king lane' (said in the PR4L voice).
Seriously, that's insane. Was he on a death wish or something?
