Re: 'Sir_Dave's Caged, Cleaned & Toyed-with Shed Trophy Paedo Wagon
Great setup imho. Ok, so its not slammed on the floor, but it handles brilliantly, quite tail happy at the moment, but thats my preference really, & pobably due to the Whiteline being on 'hard'.
Next step is to get some koni...
Its a GT2. It could be painted like a Fresian cow for all i care.
All they need is more boost, a cage & an upgrade of the life insurance. Sod faffing about with wheels, etc.
Im going to go against the grain, & not follow the herd ...
Its a heap, made worse by the broken suspension & god damn awful 172 wheels.
Each to their own though :)
Re: 'Sir_Dave's Caged, Cleaned & Toyed-with Shed Trophy Paedo Wagon
Your prays may well be answered, not necessarily through choice though i might add!! Reason? On Saturday, i fitted some Carbon Lorraine RC5's.

Good bunch, happily take my car there if i still lived in Cheltenham.
EFA ;)
Funny you should put this thread up, i was mulling over the costings this morning. Only issue i can see with using a clio, is that you could build a 175bhp itb'd, diff'd, caged saxo weighing 725kg's for half the price, & be able to compete in the 1.6 class instead ...
Okay, so he's throwing £8k down the toilet in 12 months. To insure a car he loves.
How is that different to someone buying a high spec Clio 200/Meggy 250 and losing £8k in depreciation in the first 12 months ...
Just a thought.
Tbh, i'd just buy a 172 that needed the cambelt doing (for £500 less than the others), then pay JMS £500 to do the cambelt.
This is the risk though, even Renault have been known to bugger it up. I'd only want a cambelt being done by JMS, Fred, Birchdown, etc. Its pivotal to a cars health.
