EFA. Idiots selling cars ftw.
I buy cheap ones normally, that need work doing to them, i then get the work done by someone i trust.
Sod spending all my wonga on one that has had a 'recent cambelt change & service' by my dad's mate's, brother's friend's girfriend's dad's brother, who is a...
Would be nice to see a thread from mitsiman on here. Imho the black clio is epic, a right shed, but quick, which at the end of the day is all that matters when racing, esp at grass roots level.
To be honest, it made me want to go home, cover the Trophy in filler & wang it a few times with a hammer.
Re: 'Sir_Dave's Caged, Cleaned & Toyed-with Shed Trophy Peado Wagon
3 reasons really:
1. It didnt work
2. One less pulley to turn, possibly more power? Definitely improved 'revability'.
3. Cheaper servicing/access to aux belt/alternator, etc
Thanks, fitted it as soon as i got home...
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
Ha, Matt's was standard last time i saw it about 6 months ago ... before he disappeared off the face of the earth ;)
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
I did another thread the other day (to highlight my new found ability to clean), so thought I had better bung the pics in here before doing my latest update
And then, after trying to buy one for years, I...
Great to see everyone again today, shame Sarah has informed me im not allowed to build a race car though. Booo ;)
Will definitely have to lower my seat though, great driving position in the burpspeed bus.
Jay/Tony, sorry we legged it after the race, i was blooming freezing!!!
But thats your dad, not you! Unless the moulds are being done by his company and not yours. Which would make sense, seeing as your CV says you work for Lingards as bar staff.
My suggestion is that you sort this out. You clearly have a talent, both from your pictures on here, & your cv on the...
That just sounds dangerous, purely as people, like me, would just wind the boost right up. Then. BANG. Just like the 90's with bleed valves on R5 GTT & ERST/FRST's lol ...
Looks nice though, not the best looker though ;)
Thats my point though, he hasnt stated at any point, how he likes to the car to drive.
I like mine to oversteer all over the place, on the daily commute, doing lap 15 of a roundabout, or applying a dab of oppo through Paddock.
He might not want that.
And how would you like the car to handle:
1. Oversteer on the limit
2. Understeer on the limit
3. Neutral
4. Lift off oversteer on demand
5. No lift off oversteer
6. Better straight line stability
7. Better cornering stability
8. Straight line grip
9. Cornering grip
i could go on.
Awesome work. The 130 was woeful originally though - proof if ever it were needed to check a car properly before you buy it!!
You can do my Trophy if you like Gally, a nice little holiday for you as well ;)
Storage as in off road parking, or locked garage.
You have to be over 25, which is considerably more than 21 ;)
Just to reiterate, this is for people that are already using their no claims on their main, day to day car, so effectively have no no-claims for their 2nd/3rd track car.
It...
