Strangely enough, they dont lol.
As a specialist, they are very choosy, & certainly dont want most of the neds on here phoning them up, getting a good price, then wrapping their 1.2 around the treez, cos i lost it at 15mph ofizer. And more importantly, i dont want my premiums to go up to pay...
Just thought i'd bump this as i've made a few changes to my policy today.
£15 admin fee, but no additional premium for cage, additional engine mods, etc. In addition, they only charged me an extra £90 for upgrade to fully comp (from tpf&t) & increase to 5k a year mileage.
Happy :)
Pm...
I had the JMS option done recently, as part of a full freshen up inc. cambelt/aux belt PAS & alternator refresh, was well worth the money!! Both for current driveability & future reduction in aux belt changes. A few words from my project thread:
The PMS kit is fantastic basically, well worth...
Save £5k, buy one for £3.5k that needs the major service/belts, etc. Then spend your 'surplus' getting all the work done properly by a reputable specialist.
Whats the point in spending out your full £5k, on a car that has had the belts, etc done, but by some random mechanic, for cash, in his...
Yah, just an MSV half one, to protect my bonce if ever the worst happened lol ...
Nut yes, you need to collect things, or the little ginger man will get angry :o
Just upgraded the insurance so i can use it a little more actually, shame to see it just sat in the corner of the car park...
Ha ha, i must admit, i did feel a little dirty after cleaning it, & not just because of all the cr4p that came out the arches ;)
Cant wait to pick up the cage now ...
First trackday 'testing' session is in 4 weeks time.
Nick, Mike & I have a £60 bet that says it wont be ready ;)
I'd love to be proven wrong though, purely so that Ollie stops moaning.
Quite possibly!! I had to do 2 passes with the pressure washer it was that minging!
Oh, in the wheel arches (whats left of them) i think i had a small garden, quite possibly left over from the handbrakes turns at Haynes ...
Oh, more info required on that!
Not sure if you were involved at all (through link to Colin Satchell), but i've got a Pure Motorsport aircon delete kit on my Trophy now, very impressive bit of kit :D
Ha ha, i may, or may not have put extra gel on the BM's rear tyres the other day.
Purely so i could get the derv sideways on the exit of Sarah's road.
Still didnt have enough power lol :o
From a distance ;)
I do always use tyre shine though, nowt worse than minging tyres on a car, really ruins the impression of cleanness!!
Oh & Vish, PR3's are super easy to clean, but the MV1's are a darn sight easier than MV2's - i actually cant clean between the spokes unless i use a...
Why thank you my little bundle of Scottish happiness :o
Tow eye is functional, & for the hatorz ;)
Wheels are Pro Race 3's, ET35 & replaced the 2118's as they were made of lard. Heavy lard iirc. Re: being nasty, quite possibly, but i lavish it with good maintenance & hard driving love...
Re: 182 track weapon attempt
Unless you have 400bhp, you wont need the brakes anyway lol. Just bosh some normal Wilwood/Hi-Specs on there (although you dont really need them either), & fit 15's.
The handling will be considerably worse on the 17's.
Essentially, on Saturday, somebody parked their rather clean Trophy in our car park next to mine, Sarah noticed & said, 'that red clio's really nice'. After then explaining to her that it was a Trophy, just like mine, & that under all the dirt, they were both exactly the same colour ... i...
Nah, theyre fine on the road, just like a lower standard setup apparently. Too soft for track though, as they tend to foul the arches unless raised/camber is used.
Its a track/race car.
Wtf are you painting it for lol. Put the money/time/effort into something else imho.
Pretty interior doesnt make the thing quicker ;)
Better pads, remove fogs & arch liners.
Spend money on track day. Drive car all day, change parts that break/need modifying.
Otherwise u are changing parts for the sake of changing them, like 95% of people on here.
The 1*2 is epic on track as standard, i would imagine the 200 is the same!!!
