Cheers for that, around £100 for the right one, have to enquire for the alternative caliper so have sent one it.
Really hope it is that price! If not there is a new genuine one on ebay for £90
I, erm, fit the pads ;)
The same calipers hand brake mechanism doesn't work though (foot brake works fine), so think its new caliper time, where's best to get them?
I'm off to see my car in about half an hour or so, any ideas?
I'm thinking I might just take a bit off the pads and then next time I'll get new calipers, that's if it doesn't wind in tonight.
Just rang my uncle, as the cars at his.
He says its moving lovely, just wont go in the last few mm. The pads are sat in the groove too, and are perfectly straight.
Not sure what to do at all now, I'm not wanting to buy new calipers, could sand down the pads :o
Have undone the cap.
It goes in fine so far, then wont go in that last bit.
The generic tool my uncle has doesn't fit so had to resort to the screwdriver method.
As title, rear piston still needs another few mm to go in to get the pads sitting right. Drivers side went fine but passenger side has done this.
Any advice on how we could get it in? It only needs one more full turn but its stopping as if its got to its end.
I'm confused between finance and debt, so its more that £3.5k you owe?
I'm with Daniel if you plan to keep a 1*2, or if you really need the money then sell everything and run something really cheap (or nothing if you have the van) until you can afford to buy again.
Good to see Chris getting more folk to TOPO :approve:
Nice car mate, I'm only in Halifax, when the weathers better we should meet up for a little photoshoot, chris you too :)
Is the twisty bit on the end of the stalk or about 1/3 of the way in. If it's the one thats not on the end its to make the auto wipers more/less sensitive.
Film the idle and put it on youtube so we can see/hear it.
The heater thing is probably the resistor pack, loads of info on here about it if you do a search.
This month we had 2 themes once again, these were:
Street and Obsession
You should vote for your favourite photo that fits one or both of the themes.
Nice lot of entries, thanks to all those that did :)
