I'm I asking too much or too little for this?
Spoke to the garage who did my alignment and the guy got mixed up with what I asked, he thought I wanted .5mm each side rather than 5 mins so going back tomorrow to get it sorted.
Made the most of the terrible weather today and made a start stripping the looms back. Thought I'd start with the...
I'd say so mate, I thought the bosses could only fit in one position? You definitely need the marker at the top then just rotate your wheel around to suit, might still be out but that could be your tracking. If it's only a small amount you might be able to sort it as there's a slight amount of...
Halfords have 20% off at the minute and if you have a trade card you'll get even more discount. If you don't have a card I might be able to help you out...
I changed mine a couple weeks ago, very easy job!
- Slaken the hub castle nuts on the ground (30mm).
- Jack both sides up on axle stands, wheels off.
- Remove the castle nut, and both bottom strut bolts (21mm).
- Remove the driveshaft you might need to use a mallet or punch to help knock it out...
Finally got the Clio aligned today, after doing some searching on here I asked for the camber to be set between 2-2.5deg and around 5 minutes toe out either side.
Looking at the printout I'm not 100% sure that's what I've got, would be nice if someone could give it a look over for me.
Contact Mitch at Pro-line Motorsport, I bought a set a couple weeks back only cost £40 posted inc PayPal fees. Copper pipe will also do the job but personally I prefer braided hose.
Ano haha I'd obviously never pay that considering you can get a around 2m for £20.
They also sell these for £80!
Think I'm just going to use some steel box section, I just wanted to know what's safe and if OMP are happy to sell something similar I'm happy.
I run Corbeau Clubsport seats with runners and X-Low subframes the problem I've got is I want to ditch the runners, for two reasons really one being I don't have any adjustment due to the seat catching on the door bar and secondly there piss poor making the seat move around.
So the obvious...
Going off the damage on your alloy it looks like the tyre took a lot of the shunt, check your wheel bolts are tight as it could of stretched the bolts to come loose. I hit a pot hole a couple weeks back which blew my tyre and I was constantly listening out for any other damage but I just forgot...
I don't understand how they would be different lengths? I'm pretty certain they'll be the same as the distance from the hub to the counterbore face will be the same on your alloys. I think people only use longer studs on the front as they tend to run spacers which fit between the hub and wheel...
You're probably just paranoid tbh, I'd try and forget about it until you can actually feel something or if you can get underneath and have a look. I'm literally the worst person for being paranoid over stuff being broke my mate just tells me to shut up and tbf he's right.
It's limited to around 3 turns, count how many then set it in the middle not just when it turns yellow. Other wise it could be set +/- 180 degrees out.
When I unclipped mine to put the U-clamp underneath the hose started leaking. I highly recommend Pro-line Motorsport, the two rear lines were only £40 posted inc PayPal fees.
Are your U-clamps on the Whiteline crushing the rear brake pipe and ABS sensor cable? Might be best putting the U-clamp underneath that's how I fitted mine.
I've got Powerflex rear top mounts and managed to fit my rear strut brace, if it's stripped out you might need a hand. Get someone to...
Might give it a try before getting rid, cheers! Yeah I definitely recommend painting the floor isn't a hard job to be honest and makes a huge difference, I think running the rear loom into the quarter panels makes a big difference as well makes things a lot tidier!
So my mate stopped back at work today so I took the chance to pop up and fit my ABS rings and PMS damper.
Not too impressed with the damper to be fair, I didn't suffer from much vibration to start with but thought it would reduce the vibration I get over 4K revs and it's done absolutely...
Thanks! I love it! I like how easy it is to adjust for driving around the streets and parking. When on motorways etc I basically turn it off as I don't like how light it feels. I've never took it on a spirited drive as I haven't had it alligned. I'd recommend just looping your standard rack to...
My girlfriend decided to lock me out after nightshift this morning so I took the chance to get a couple pics, It was clayed it a couple months back just need to get round to giving it a machine polish and wax.
How do people go about torquing the rear strut damper bolts when fitting a...
Good work, looks really clean!! Been a pleasure helping out, does yours self centre ok? Still need to get mine alligned before I know for sure it's the DCI rack that is the problem. You should get a MTC intake hose to match your coolant pipes.
