I dont get it. So you sold a mint Trophy, that needed a £300 engine to fix it.
And bought another clio, that may well suffer exactly the same engine based fate.
You're bonkers lol
Remember guys, the 17" venoms always looked ok back in the day, the 15's however, did not ....
Will get pics up in the next week or so, too dark in the evenings at the mo to get a decent photo.
If you've serviced it yourself you will have receipts?
Personally, for cars like the older 172/182's, as long as the cambelt is done properly, & their are receipts for oil, i would judge on condition, not stamps :)
I had a 1.6 si from 17-21, great car!! Poly bushed throughout with Spax coilovers :) was gonna plonk a 2.0 zetec turbo in it, but tin worm took over ... Went french instead, havent looked back tbh.
320d Sport's are the way forwards iirc ;)
Looks lovely, black is almost as nice as Estoril ...
Think im gonna pass on the remap btw, need to do the wishbone bushes on mine it would seem, so need to put money aside for that instead. Oh, and the Trophy needs £££'s spending on it as well...
You need to raise the inside (gearbox side) by about 2cm. I did this by using 6 x washers (for each hole) between the OMP subframe and the car. Worked fine for me, just keep adding washers until they sit level :)
How are you fitting the harnesses? Mine are clip in ones, so i used the supplied...
46 of your finest pounds ;) with tyres lol ...
Yes, you sick weirdo :rasp: was quite disappointed actually, Trophy forum didnt really bite, was expecting more tbh.
And Ph-reebone, that looks worryingly cool. Perhaps i'll start a new trend on CS? Lets be honest, Venoms do look exactly the...
Ummm, my Bimarco's are propped up by 6 x washers under the OMP subframe (for each seat, gearbox side) :o
Tried straightening them up using the side mounts, but i needed the seats reclined further than that would allow.
Looking good btw Fletch. Lolzers at you lot though, more mechanically...
Thats rather immaculate!! Although a little too bling for me ...
Reminds me of what dad has sat at home in the barn though ;)
1 owner from new, 50k miles, 325i, full MTec kit, etc:
Scene is a generic term for a car where the owner has no imagination and simply follows a set car modication path, ie with VAG, low, big wheels, with clio's 2118's silvervisions, etc.
The owner will normally wear skate shoes and possibly read/work for FastCar.
Stealth = big power, standard...
Mine is set to -2.8 front, -1.8 rear (as standard lol), with parallel toe on the front.
Probably a bit extreme for daily, so id recommend -2 on the front, then standard on the rear.
Not really. The standard cup-packed suspension is 1 billion times better than cheap coilovers for everything apart from 'lows' ...
My advice, if you dont have a grand to spend, leave it alone.
Or buy the Trophy Sachs setup & a whiteline ARB - mine is the best handling clio i have ever...
