Once you start spending money, it's very hard to know when to stop. How far do you go with a Clio? We've all been there, currently doing it and will continue to do so.
Yours has come a long way so there's no looking back now! I always look at yours and think some nice brakes behind this wheels...
The drivers side is a piece of piss, the gearbox side is a bit more trickier. Nothing that can be done on a driveway though.
I found it easier to remove all gearbox brackets and remove it that way rather than out in situe. (sp?)
The first ever CSS was IMO the best one. Maybe because it was the first one, but the weather was ace too. Since then it hasn't kept up to that. I'm not disputing the effort involved since as the organisation has been great and so have the things to do/look at.
However, I do think that this year...
I bet! Tbh I didn't think the vibration was that bad. I think mine was due to low idle. They feel so much better when changing gear!
Don't forget to paint the plates
Are you fitting them yourself or you getting help? Might be worth giving Dan a shout as he recently fitted my old ones to...
Can't you just take your wheels off and measure with a tape measure? It hasn't got to be pefect as the clips are adjustable.
Where did you get your mounts from Tom?
Loads of people in Essex that come down to the Southend meets too. Normally meet at the dick turpin the tame a drive down the seafront.
We need to do this soon :)
Yeah your right. Changed the bonnet over today so I'm rocking a titanium bonnet on a iceberg car. May have a black bumper on too for the show.
Still it is a Clio show after all!
I love the look of the TPI bolts bit they can rust easy if not protected. Shouldn't be a problem for you though
When you getting the b14's fitted and by who?
Yeah I know you don't. I've known Scott for a few years now and I know what he's like so I knew I'd be getting a decent bonnet.
He was the one that made me get a ph1.
I know he said he didnt know what to charge. Tbf I think he just wants it all gone.
I paid £60 for Scotts. No rust or anything, just needs flatting and repainting.
I've seen them on Renparts eBay page for £35. This is magneti manelli ones. Are they the same as mine says VDO? Don't want to buy a cheap copy and have the same issue!
I'll give that a go. Got a second hand ICV coming to me next week and I'm going to swap mine with a mate today and give it a quick blast to see as well.
It's just annoying and embarrassing in stop start traffic!
He's not, he'll be sliding it in... And out, in and out..... ;)
Dont know whether to take the Clio with different coloured body panels and small boot space or take th missus micra which is actually a lot bigger and has lots more space.
It can wait. Although it's embarrassing and annoying I've kinda got used to it! I'll swap it with friends one today and give it a quick drive to see. Fantom Steve has one that hes going to send me. I took he's throttle body andgave it a good clean up with no luck. Would rather try cheap before I...
I have the same a symptoms as the OP. I have changed the TB, throttle position sensor, cleaned the TB, new throttle cable and still no luck. I have also done your suggestions to with no luck.
