    What do I need??

lol, I think that should be the standard 'What should I buy?' answer!

First go with my Megs G220 (lots of pics)

I had a go with final finish polish on my 182, and the results were slightly disappointing. Mainly because I think the paint is much harder than the Fords, so will require a more aggressive polish. I order some intensive polish today, and will have another go in a few weeks when the weather's...

    F1 quick rule change vid

Really good vid! Should be an awesome season, as long as the FIA stop licking Ferraris ass! It should be good watching the first race, with no idea of who will come out on top!

1*2 vs 1.2 / rs vs non rs

^^LOL! What is there to discuss? I would have thought the + and - would be pretty damn obvious! Ones a sports car, one isn't!

    Stickers for Recaros

I like the RS stickers on the recaros, I might have to nick that idea and do it on mine.

Pros N Cons Of Lowering? Help!

On a related topic: Whats the pros and cons of coilies? Obviously the cost is a big con, but are the pros worth it?
  8. DanFreemanPhoto

    Lowered or Not?

lol! There is a better way of doing it in photoshop :) Thats a little too low for me, but a lowering would look good yes.

    Few New Pictures...

Nice pics! Good compositions, now all you need is some external lighting for the night shots ;)

    quality

I used to shoot in nothing but RAW. But I got fed up converting loads of files to JPEG. And when you are at events with 1000+ pics, it can get a bit tedious! So now I shoot in the highest quality JPEG. If your doing massive posters then shoot it RAW, otherwise JPEG is more than enough :)

Nice job m8! Arctic blue FTW!

    Broadband

You should have some filters too. It plugs into your wall socket, and splits the signal into phone and DSL.

    Kestrel DAS-6 Opinions?

Tell me about it lol! Oh and get a few of these too! http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/accessories/3m-3434-masking-tape/prod_79.html (when they are in stock!)

    Kestrel DAS-6 Opinions?

Out of all the kits, the megs/menz kit would be the best. But you pay quite a bit more for it compared to the kestrel! I cant really comment on Sonus, as Ive never used them. But if you can afford the Megs G220, then go for it! You wont be disappointed, I got it and im not!

    Kestrel DAS-6 Opinions?

lol! I practised on my mums car too! http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=388595 I think the paint is a lot softer than the clios, as the final finish polish on my 182 did no where near the same!
  16. DanFreemanPhoto

    Kestrel DAS-6 Opinions?

I have the menz polishes. If you have a lot of swirls, you might need some intensive polish, as I found that final finish polish didnt really do that much! :( I think the clio paint is quite hard, hence you need a more aggressive polish. As for the wax, Im not too sure. I always apply wax by...

    Kestrel DAS-6 Opinions?

I was in a similar position to yourself. I as after a G220, but was unsure whether I should get a kit, or separate products. In the end I decided to get a G220 and just the polishes/pads that I thought I needed. If I knew what I know now, I would have got a kit, as Ive just ordered some more...

    Possible guide: Respraying diamonds

Curley, you might be better off with this: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_203947_langId_-1_categoryId_165495 On the top of the grey spray can, it suggests using a grey primer, rather than the white I used. But I cant see it...

    Bye Bye Clio, Hello Volvo!!

Nice! Ive always liked the look of these cars. What engine does it have? ie. power compared to a clio?

    Possible guide: Respraying diamonds

lol, I knew it was slightly bad! But its only on the badge, its not the end of the world lol!
  22. DanFreemanPhoto

    Possible guide: Respraying diamonds

Yeh I was going to use primer etc to fill the scratch. But tbh, its not that bad now the spray has filled it in a bit :) Im in the process of spraying my boot badges now, so all my badges will match the colour of my alloys when I get them refurbed :) I'll post it up in the guides section now...

whoever says 1.2s arent fun should be shot

From a person whose come from a 1.2 to a 182, I cant see how you can possibly say that a 1.2 is fun! I know thats stating the obvious, but I found the 1.2 to be slow, and the soft suspension just killed any sense of fun :( As stated somewhere above, get a RS and you'll soon see what I mean!

    tyre gel

WHAT! I wont have that said lol! On trim it does an immense job!

    Possible guide: Respraying diamonds

Yeh I couldnt be assed to touch up the scratches before I sprayed lol. I just got the back one off earlier this evening, I followed a guide that is on here somethere. Tbh, it wasnt very hard at all. The only tricky bit is the fact that the rear diamond is plastic welded onto the boot! Oh, and...

    Possible guide: Respraying diamonds

As I was bored today, I decided to respray my front and back diamonds. Im getting my alloys refurbed soon too, so this was a good test to see if the colours would look good on the car. As the alloys will be refurbed in graphite grey, I sprayed both diamonds in this colour too :) Ive posted it...

On a side note: Where do you get these from? (for 182)

    tyre gel

I use this: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-and-tyres/chemical-guys-new-look-trim-gel/prod_143.html Ive only used it a couple of times, but it looks really good when applied and it lasts a long time too. But bear in mind, in this weather, black tyres arent going to last forever!

First go with my Megs G220 (lots of pics)

Yeh it does seem pretty firm compared to the Megs polishing pad I have too. But it will do a lot more work as a result :)
