Check the dipstick as your only really missing about 1/4ltr.
And it early on so dont use synth, id just drop some mineral in to help with the running in. Swapping to synth you could drop some easy BHP for no extra reliability or wear issues. Just change in the nxt 3000miles.
The problem with twin exits is the pulse differences you get at the seperation of pipes.....the resonance always causes some boomyness unless its meticuously (sp) designed out of the system. ;)
as long as you pass your emissions test its fine. and you will as the mot emissions test is nothing like the euro4 emissions laws the car is designed to meet.
Nope, you dont have to.
But ofcourse, things are optimised if you do and will result in a stronger, more linear AFR graph.....thus more torque and power than the system alone.

Well, i lie....first time it started about 15 people from building nxt door came to see what was running lol.
Lol, its not THAT loud!
A quieter system, possibly, but its all been developed now and altering the system design, especially internal baffles is something i would have to check to make sure it doesnt affect cost. If your interested i will certainly get on the case.
Performance should not...
Im over the moon that its working out so well.
The only problem with thinner wall stainless is that you can hear the ticking of combustion noise through it easier.
Thats superb Mitch, when you came back i was mighty dissappointed that you thought that, but it had only been run for about 10 mins prior.
And the noise on overrun, christ..........like i said, 1/2 a mile away, it sounded about 100m away!
How is it inside the car now?
