Re: Any one want to freeze there a**e off watching some rally cars at Goodwood ?
I'll probably stop by this at some point. What time will they be running until?
Well, i've only done the one day in the 200 so far and given the choice I have, i'd take it over the Cup every time.
As said above, I might take the Cup out one more time...but it'll be purely for sentimental reasons.
I miss those PF97s, they were epic brakes, you even managed to capture the wheat field remnants following my 'off' LOL.
Great pictures, great days.
Sigh.
Of course not Mr Hunter.
I know it's not specced to a high level, I've never gone down the route of expensive upgrades, when I was tracking it regularly all I ever worried about was giving it good brakes and good tyres. The only reason it now sits on Eibach springs is as when MOTd last year a...
Not the primary reason but it's part of the appeal. The main reason was me thinking I'd get fcuk all selling it as a going concern because it is so compromised, therefore I might realise more cash from it if I broke it. Seems no matter how much extra cash I'd see it's not worth the hassle of...
Right, seems like breaking it is not an option.
Will wait for the weather to improve before marketing it as a full on track/potential race car.
What's up with it?
Absolutely fcuk all, the engine's just had belts done and idles smoothly and silently, battery is starting to struggle at start up...
My dilemma...my Cup is not likely to ever pass another MOT as I've taken so much out of it, and it's a high miler, without a speedo that shows the true mileage (fitted a 182 box after the original broke at 107k).
It's been maintained regardless of cost all its life from brand spanking new and...
It was running on Tesco 95...that's all it's been fed in the 2,500 miles since I picked it up.
I was planning a change to 99 at some point to see if the 'more mileage' claim made the extra cost worthwhile, but wanted to get a solid read over a decent distance on 95 first.
Hadn't thought of it...
ATF! Was 154 ATW.
I know Renault's generally make less than book...but this is way down. My buddy took his 200 there last year, similar mileage, and his ran 192.
OAP w*****s LOL
Or not as the case may be.
Meh...
Useless first owners, probably never once gave it full throttle for 18k miles...I mean, who the f*** specs parking sensors on a 200!
And breathe.
Should be a pile of dust now after all the abuse tbh.
Looks nice though...wish I hadn't torn mine apart and left it to mature gracefully like yours.
Need any spares?
That there is your problem.
2 car lengths? At 30mph?
That is way too close.
Two car lengths is what? 10 metres?
At 30 mph you're covering over 13 metres per second...so you were well under 1 second behind him...no wonder you ended up stuck on the level crossing.
Can you really not see that...
What?
You've completely lost me.
The OP was driving so close to the car in front that he got stuck on a level crossing.
His fault, regardless of what the other car was doing.
The end.
But you did exactly that! How can you not see that?
You win today's full quota of forum r****d points IMO.
And that's before we even get to you punching his window.
As said above, just FLOL.
If you give it back and walk away, having limited yourself to the 6,000 mile a year over 4 years, that's 50p per mile on 'depreciation' alone.
How many miles a year do you do?
Need to be en route by 0900 as picking up a mate in Farnborough at 1000 to get there for 1030.
If you want to tag along...where shall I hook up with you?
41 here, and I regularly do exactly this only with the SatNav set to 'Home' so when I decide to bail/it's time for dinner it guides me straight back again.
Looking at prices of 172 Cups right now...I may well have a good chance of convincing the wife I may as well keep it as well as the 200...
