Are you going to FCS? They may have a show plate maker there? Just a thought...and if there are plenty of French Cars...you might be able to get a French plate made up...
Just a thought! :)
Charlie can get them done...I think Bert (IIRC) over in N.Ireland wanted one, but couldn't get over here for fitting...Charlie was gonna get one done from a donor car as each exhaust is custom made for each car, and then send it over...so he could do that if you contact him...the only thing is...
It appears to be running fine. Accelerator is working now, just the thick pipe (I've got a standard airbox) and it appears to come from the pipe leading from the airbox to the throttle body...but just is connected on one side. The pipe is about 4 or 5 inches long...and can't see anywhere for it...
The problem is that people can (and should) only really comment on what they've had! I think Pro-speed are a good exhaust, as I have one...never had K-tec or GDi or Yozza...so can't comment on those.
Are you going to FCS...if so, I owe you one! :star:
Although there is a thick pipe coming from the pipe with the air filter to the throttle body...where the hell does that connect to???
There is the big plug at the rear where the HT leads connect to...this has been connected. There is a breather valve (IIRC) this has been reconnected. There is a thick rubber cable at rear of plenum...this has been reconnected, the 2 connectors at top left and top right of plenum have been...
As far as I can see...everything I removed including the pipes just from the plenum on the top of the engine. The engine is starting...but there is no response when pressing the accelerator.
This is just the accelerator not working...would disconnecting the battery for 10 mins help that???
Right...where to begin! :o
I've taken the plenum off to do some painting today. Put it back on, tightened all bolts and reattached the cables to their relevant clips. Now car will start, but the engine management light comes on, and also the engine light (yellow outline of an engine) is...
No, got it blasted...and am spraying with an aluminium look finish...don't wanna polish it, as too damn hard to do and keep looking good...I'm not anal about my engine bay, just fancy tidying it up a little. :)
Thanks for the info so far guys...
Sorry, I'm a bit dense/new with regards to all this engine stuff...only just realised how easy it was to remove the fuel rail guard to get the work done on it...and want to get the plenum done also so it looks the same.
How much are the gaskets and O...
I am aware that the bolts are all 10mm to remove the plenum. I'm looking to get something done to mine, and because of this I need to remove it...the main thing is that I need to be able to put it back together again.
Is there anything I need to consider/look out for when taking it apart or...
I have a 172 Cup, but one of the blanking plates broke/disappeared...so I removed the other one. Now I've bought the washer jets with relevant nut for behind bumper. Are there any guides as to the best way to get them fitted?
If I have to remove the bumper...I will...just want an idea of...
Erm...notice new name!!!
It was Donny's! ;)
I didn't think you were gonna put it up. Hows the mother of your baby getting on? Tell Lins that Mandy and I have both said "Hello"
Dan, do you mean Auto Glym EGP (Extra Gloss Protection)???
If so you should wash, polish (AG SRP is best for EGP), then EGP, then wax if you want.
Although Rich will be along shortly to give the definitive answer! :approve:
