no, I just had a spirited drive to the track then hammered them after a lap warming up each time out, they actually state no special bedding in required:smile: They squeal like hell now though

    172 Cup track toy build

1st couple of laps in the wet I was locking up a lot and found them a bit grabby but got on top of them. They're a big step up over the 2500s in the dry

    172 Cup track toy build

The worn tyre pic is from my old RS-Rs, the 180 NS-2Rs still look great, pic below. I got them at the right price, £104 for a pair delivered so took a punt, I'm happy with them, was considering keeping them aside to use for wet weather as I have some 888s to try too, but they were up there with...

    172 Cup track toy build

I really don't know about the NS-2s, but the Rs are very good, plenty of grip for a semi slick in the wet too. I'd thought I'd made a mistake buying the 180 compound, happy I did now. The only negative for those who use them on the road is that they're very noisy over some surfaces but doesn't...

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

Used my NS-2Rs on the front at a partially wet trackday yesterday, in the dry grip levels of my 180 compound tyres are on a par with RS-Rs but I much preferred them, more feel and certainly wear better, I think the stiffer sidewall helps a lot. The RS-Rs showed shoulder wear very quickly, I'd...

    172 Cup track toy build

Some laps from my 1st trackday in the rain, just pretend you didn't hear the embarrassing 'whoohoo' when the MX5 went off in front of me and I locked up, I was enjoying myself, not the fastest way round, struggled on the NS-2Rs but the most fun I've had there  Gopro mount seems to be...

    When to shift, shift light?

I'd like some opinions please! The fitment shown by the two Marks in the thread won't work for me as it's obscured, so A or B I quite like A but worried it's a bit 'in your face' and may be annoying/distracting as they're bright, is B the safer option? Pics taken from ~ my eye line A B
