Bit difficult, no one else i know has a Trophy, let alone with a MF setup :(
Tom has AST's though i suppose ....
And H&R's, well they're just Bilstein dampers; i yearn to make the Trophy handle like the saxo ...
Its the twitchiness that i miss Pep, the T just understeers on the limit as...
Right ho,
Currently in a bit of a weird place re: the suspension on my Trophy. Front dampers have been refurbed, & the rears are also only 18 months old, so its a great setup, with plenty of life left in it ...
However, on track, its not quite low/stiff/adjustable enough, so my plan...
By the looks of things, they are either the sliders for base mounts seats, or you need an adapter so that they can be used with side mounted seats like yours. Or, and hopefully, they have sent you the incorrect sliders...
I'd have a chat with tweaks tbh, normally fairl knowledgeable :)
Re: Eds ph1 172 - The soon to be controversial project!
Just out of interest, but why have you mounted the harnesses there? Surely that would be dangerous in the event of a rear-ender?
Whats wrong with the standard combo of rear seat belt mount and/or isofix point :)

My Trophy, at Snetterton:
For me, these pictures remind of why i put up with the Frenchness, they are simply fantastic cars to chuck about & have fun in :D
I'd agree tbh, i do 30k+ a year, hence why i use 15's (PE2's are about £55 a corner) ... sod using budgets on any car, let alone a Trophy. Afterall, according to ClioTrophy.co.uk, they are the best car in the world!!
Re: Trophy #433
Right, done a thousand miles in no. 461 since i picked it up on Saturday, & yup, it drives exactly the same as my 1st one. Few dash bulbs need replacing, & the wipers are either on fast, or off, but hey, thats easy enough to sort .... hopefully ....
More importantly, i've...
You would. I suggested them to Sarah, as i was looking at golfs to commute in (they are much much cheaper, so '06 jetta = '04 golf) ... she told me 'you're nearly 30, not nearly 50'.
I love them, mind you, i did have a Charade Turbo as my 1st car, so a little biased perhaps. One of my best mates at uni sold his Charade Gtti for one actually. Forged internals (like the Gtti) so they like more boost ....
His ran 20+psi, with an upgraded intercooler, remap, bigger injectors...
Not really, you buy it for £5k, then need to do spend £1k on 5 year service, belts, damage, etc, then another £500 on getting the dampers refurbed. And your still driving around in a press car thats been ragged to f*ck. Might as well just buy a minter in the 1st place ... like mine lol.
Just remember to ask for student discount .... I've brought two of my rackets today, one normal size one, & one massive size one, with a furry cover on the end :D
Found a pic of Tom from last week as well:
It'll be fine. The Ed30 30 has 230bhp out of the box, with 300 a map away, & they handle it fine apparently.
If you're that worried about it, just get the torque reduced slightly :)
Your perfect car is here.

:D
You need to remap it on the way home from collecting it .... otherwise there is a serious risk of you falling asleep at the wheel!! Nice, sensible barge though, enjoy it :)
Re: Trophy #433
As you can see from Sarah's TT, we like gay cars in our house ;)
Re: the Whiteline, i do need to try one, Vish has one on his 172 i think! Does it make that much difference Warren? Id like it to be a little more playful, like the saxo was ...
Re: Trophy #433
Soon, my young(ish), padawan, soon ...
Cheers James! Any ideas if i can mount the side mounts to a standard clio subframe in any way, so that i can retain some adjustability, & height - im a dwarf remember & dont like to sit on the floor like you lot lol.
The seats are...
Argh, gutted.
Think i'd be tempted to just break that tbh, or pick up a cheapy 1*2 with a duff engine & do a transplant. Repairing/bodging it back together could end up being a little expensive!
If you were a real ar5e, you'd make it look ok superficially, then sell it to webuyanycar.com ;)
Because if you mess up, the 306 will fling you into the nearest hedge sharpish, whereas the Ph1 will be alot more forgiving ;) Also, if the Ph1 breaks, you already have 2 or 3 other ones sat on the drive that you can raid for parts lol
